end of the day buddy will kick his 100th tonight and cloke will not. and cloke will never ever kick 100 even when he ends his afl career and goes to play with mertilford he still wont kick 100.

I agree that this is a ridiculous comparison, but do we have to put down one player in order to pump up another? Buddy's a marvel, there's no doubt about that, but Cloke is also an outstanding contributer himself. Unfortunately, he's playing in a team where the delivery in to the forward 50 can be absolutely terrible at times. When you've got players skying the ball in his direction, or kicking it over his head when he's on the lead, you're obviously going to look crap. When the delivery is good, he's very effective and can take a strong grab. The same could be said of a lot of forwards, I would think.

...Wasn't exactly an ideal game for a power forward last night. Poor conditions, the worst display of kicking in history... he still managed to kick 2 goals and take 8 marks. Can't ask for much more.

Come on he's hardly hopeless. The comparison is ridiculous because Buddy is a freak, but Cloke is a very good player.

If people are judging him on last night, he was giving absolutely terrible service by the midfield, probably the worst display of skills I've seen from any team this year. Besides he took 8 marks and kicked two goals, which is not a terrible return, especially under the circumstances.

Cloke is 21 (22?), and along with Roughead one of the most exciting KPF talents in the league and contributing beyond what is normally expected of a young KPP.

Appreciate him for what he is, and don't spend his career going (well he's not Franklin....) - Hawk fans may rue Nick Holland's career, but for a period in the 90s of it he was one of the best CHF in the league. We (on the whole) didn't appreciate it, because Carey was better. Don't let it happen to you pies fans.

The gap is closing more & more all the time. It's pretty much a toss up which player teams would prefer now. Cloke's the much harder worker though that can't be denied. Buddy can only dream of a game like Cloke played tonight.
