You’ve also got to remember Schultz wanted to come back home cause he was dealing with family/personal issues. Who’s to say he's not still dealing with that at the moment? He has not reached those heights at Collingwood so far but we already know what his ceiling is and it is very high based on very solid evidence. He has won the Ross Glendinning medal twice.

It's like recruiting Papley and then after a run of average to poor games people start bagging the club for chasing him in the first place as if there was never a good reason to want him. Draft picks are a lottery. Schultz is a known product. He will have a breakout game but cut the revisionist negativity.

He was my son and my favorite player outside of the Pies for a reason.

He's doing exactly what I thought he'd do in our F50 and will kick around 30 goals.

He is one of 3 or 4 smalls who can have a day out. He's never going to be the no 1 guy like he was in Freo.

His pressure and running is terrific.

He'll play worse and kick 3 one game.

It's hard to appreciate Schultz on TV but live at the ground you can clearly see his value. Watch from level 4 at the G and you'll lose count of the times he will run the width of the ground to provide an option, or sprint full pace to force a rushed kick from opposition defenders.

As much as I loved Ginni, if he dropped a mark or got out bodied the ball would be going straight back up the ground. That doesn't happen with Schultz in the team.

He's not going to kick bags every week but he's an automatic selection based on his value to the structure and game plan.

Won't be 10 to 15 imo. More like 18-25. On top of that we will get a pick between 25-30 back for ginnivan. Let's wait and see.

Edit: don't forget early father-son/academy/1st round comp/bids will push back that pick quite a bit.

It was Ollie at 17 not Reef in 2020.

It looks pretty standard for a top 8 team to me. What's interesting about it?

Our quality has come from FS and NGA.

Hine outside that hasn't really had a top 10 pick to use.

Expectations on Reef, Allan, DeMattia are based off first rounder status but really are early 2nd rounders.

I find it interesting as we really haven’t had that quality of pick for a long time as previous to that we traded them or blew it traded the player for little like Stepho and Henry.

Pfffft, nobody watches Fremantle games, not even Derek Hine, our recruiters or Champion Data. They just tell us the result afterwards and we take their word for it.

Those draft picks are good - they are the result of us playing in 4 prelims and another final series where we won a final in those 6 years.
