he's exactly what you need from an older recruit. solid and hard at the footy. he could be a regular midfield rotation for the longer term.

I thought he redeemed himself in the second half, seems to work very well in tandem with Saint Nicholas. Was involved in some important passages leading to goals. Wasn't the only player having a mare in the first half.

His first half was also good. Sacrificed his game to do all the grunt work. When fly said it's time to take risks, his last quarter was fantastic

I agree.. watched the 2nd half when I got home & Lachie was getting down & dirty & involved in everything.
And as you say, not sure you could single out any Pies who weren't having a quiet one in the first half, hence why we ended up being down by 54 points.

Think he'll be replaced by Long very soon. He's slow by foot and decision making. Also pretty small so gets moved out of the way in the midfield

I like him as a depth player but didn't really offer much today. Looked a bit outsized and not sure he has many strings to his bow. Might be due for a spell in the 2nds.

Yes unfortunately. He did start well - his first game, but dropped off since. Not someone I would like to take into finals.
He's had a poor game, certainly to be expected in your first handful, as a mature ager, it's whether he can take that and learn from it and become a better player for it. He did seem to spend a fair bit of time forward and fluffed his one good chance to get on the scoreboard.

It seems pretty split looking through the comments, but he did some really nice things this year.
10 games in, has a feel for the pace of AFL now, in a full year of AFL system, will get more games, I think he can take another step next year.
