I dont know how true this one is, but this rumour had been going around since Saturday that I had heard. I think someone posted on here early sunday that Fev was sacked? Word was definitely out.
It just doesnt make sense - there has to be more to this. Listening to Swan last night he was trying to paint Fevola as a non-drinker who was kicked out of the club for a week and suspended for his on-field indiscretions. Surely to god that is a lie and there is more to this.
He then goes to suggest there is a chance Fev may not be happy with things and may want to leave etc. So what, they are jumping to these conclusions after a couple of 50 metre penalties and a dummy spit or two? No way Jose.
Sheehan was pretty adamant last night Fev will not be at Carlton next year. Didnt give anything away, but his certainty defintely led me to believe he knows something, even tho he was professional enough to insist he didnt. He wrote the trade Fev article on Sunday obviously before all this became public. He knows something is going on.
But, IF he was out the night before the game - one game is pi$$weak, he should have been sacked on the spot. There is no excuse for that at all. That would be a deliberate, obvious spit in the face to the club which could not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Perhaps Jonny Hay was in Perth - he knows how to get on the turpse before a game.
