There must be something wrong down at Collingwood, all their assistants are leaving and they are appointing new ones. THis must mean the coach has lost confidence of his peers.

Malthouse actually expects his assistants to take opportunities when they come, he would be dissapointed in them if they didnt.

Anyway good luck for next year, but I hope we win again.

Mick and Bucks worked with Lappin during the last international rules series... obviously they see something in him that others didn't.
He was our forward line coach this year. We weren't supposed to kick goals this year but had the 5th highest scoring team in the league, I'd say he did a very good job.

Agree Sin, get's bagged a bit don;t know why, he's done a great job and now time to gain experience outside of Carlton, Pies might learn something?

Pies supporters posting here validates their insecurities.

Crap in the cup was hilarious Thy :thumbsu:

Just heard Matty Lappin on SEN giving an interview. Said he was basically told by the club that he should explore new options for the coming season, that the club was looking to go down the avenue of more experienced assistants etc.

My question is, he was our forward line coach, we scored more goals than most of the footy world imagined we would post Fev. Infact I read above we were 5th highest scoring side.

Collingwood obviously saw something in this, coupled with his work along Malthouse in the international rules series, yet we still decide to let him go? Am I the only one who doesn't see the logic in this?

I think this could be a mistake on our end... time will tell.. regardless, good luck skinny!
