Is anyone a little bit suspect of Lara during this series?

Almost all of his dismissals have been soft as butter, from ordinary flashing drives. He just doesn't seem to be interested and refuses to get his eye in.

Hopefully he turns it around in the test. :thumbsu:

hasnt played for a long time, doesnt help when ya chasing scores of around 300, you dont have much time to get your eye in, he will come good , maybe age is catching up him tho

Yeh, he hasnt played for a while and you cant really judge a player on this series, he goes up and down occasionally with form, doesnt seem to be all that interested either. Dont read to much into this series.

i dont think he should of been in the team if he hasnt played for a while.

fair enough if the Windies havnt played in a while, but im assuming he hasnt been in the Windies team as of late.

Maybe age has caught up with him but hopefully he can turn it around especially with WI touring Australia in summer.

The thing with Lara is that his form can change around so quickly...

He has the potential to murder attacks on his day.. You just hope like hell it isn't when he's playing against ya...

Lara should play in the test match hopefully he can come along and blast 400 or so.

Maybe they should drop him for Inzi in the test side? He couldnt do any worse

well inzi could run a few partners out, actually haven't seen inzi sprint this decade come to think of it.

Pretty hard to make runs when your getting hammered every night of the week and going out till 5:00am the morning of a game.

Only Australians can do that sorta thing, eg. Doug Walters 100 in a session after 30mins sleep! :thumbsu:

Lara's been living it up for 15 years. It didn't seem to make a difference.

But remember when he came out to Australia a few years ago, with that sweet blonde - instant form loss. He was up all night for "other" reasons. :D

Interesting, had a look at his recent form in 2005 (due to the contract dispute he along with most of the senior players didn't go to Sri Lanka).

5 tests, 724 runs, average 80.44 with 4 centuries. Yeah can play a bit.

Whod they play? Not being smart just asking out of interest

Lara is the best batsmen going round on cricket. he will be good in the test matches. the World XI havent been preparing well..been going out the days before matches. hope they turn in round for the test
