The only thing worse than being made to watch Napolean Dynamite once, is being made to watch it again after you know exactly how shit it is.

Went on a camp earlier this year with the Year 11s + 12s.. and yup, video night was "Napoleon Dynamite"...

There's never a sharp object around when you need it..

shake.....and......bake

The scene with Walker and Texas Ranger going off at their gramps was a classic

Chip: I can't hold my tongue. These kids are my grandchildren and you are raising them wrong. They are *terrible* boys!
Walker: Shut up, Chip, or I'll go ape-shit on your ass!
Texas Ranger: I'm gonna scissor-kick you in the back of the head!
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Yeah!
Ricky Bobby: Yeah! Now turn up the heat!
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Go on and get some, boys!
Ricky Bobby: Come on!
Walker: I'm ten years old, but I'll beat your ass!
Texas Ranger: Chip, I'm gonna come at you like a spider monkey!
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Like a spider monkey! Go on!
Ricky Bobby: Chip, you brought this on, man.
Walker: Greatest Generation my ass. Tom Brokaw's a punk!
Chip: What is wrong with you?
Texas Ranger: Chip, I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!

Last Night: Transformers = 9/10.

Highly, highly recommended.

In answer to the above mentioned questions, Edward Dildo Hands and Grand Theft Anal were good but Terminator Penertrator takes the cake.. Top flick!:D

Even though I was more of a "teenage mutant ninja turtles" person myself, when I was younger, I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

It seriously is great. Best movie i've seen in a long time. Constant action and a large number of laughs. My only critism is the movies length. Seemed to go for years.

Sin City, 8.5/10. Now THIS is how you interpret a comic. Obviously based on the graphic novels of the same name, Sin City is a stylish B&W noir shot in HD, that uses CG to create the most effective comic-book atmosphere I've yet seen on screen. Typically of Rodriguez' direction, it's the eye-candy that grabs your attention, making up for the lack of substance and appalling narrative. Shamelessly pubescent, Sin City's an enthralling visual feast filled with stark characters, grizzly anti-heroes, helpless dames and buxom dominatrices, minimalist splashes of colour, black humour, cheesy quotes and most significantly, nihilistic lashings of glorified violence (including an hilarious scene reminiscent of Monty Python's Black Knight) that is only forgivable by being so ridiculously cartoonish. I strongly recommend renting this film if you've yet to see it, and like me you'll wonder why it took you so long.

I'd love to see Batman, Punisher or the Phantom shot in a similar style.

Ahh, Starscream. Does that bloody Transforming logo terrorise you every time they switch scenes?

Ok, so I just watched The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. If you like Bill Murray, you'll probably like it. It's very much in the postmodernist/surreal vein of I Heart Huckabees, with a similar big name cast (Cate Blanchett, Owen Wilson, William Dafoe and Bill Murray) - but where Mark Wahlberg was a revelation as a fireman questioning life after 'the Big September thing', rather than one of his stock action roles, Owen Wilson is entertaining but not that surprising. William Dafoe is bloody funny as the neurotic German engineer, but doesn't get enough screen time. Blanchet is good but nothing special and Bill Murray is playing the standard 'Bill Murray' character. Where I Heart went for laughs, Life Aquatic goes for weirdness, insights into father-son relationships, and pokes/homages to Costeau - totally lost on someone of Generation Y. That and this film drags - it goes for 2 hours. However, some bizarre awesomeness can be found in a couple of weirdo gunfights which come from nowhere as Murray ruins peoples shit. So if you're an arthouse person who can go some violence, watch it. If you're not, don't.

Oh, and I got 20 minutes into The Last King of Scotland (which gets me to where I was in the book...the first page) and while it's good, I really don't have the stomach to delve into Idi Amin's regime.

Just watched Brazil on Monday. I didn't think it was as exceptional as most people seem to think, but after a few days I can't stop thinking about it and have upgraded my rating from a "Hunt" to "Jimmeh" :)

Great review, Jester. I passed on LKOS too. I've been a fan of the lovable Forest since his Big Harold days, and can't stand the thought of 'im as Amin.

The Cement Garden. Um..er...yeah, 2/10.
