Hawthorn are BY FAR THE MOST DISADVANTAGED TEAM IN TERMS OF UMPIRING FREE KICK COUNTS in the last two seasons.
What is most alarming about these stats (from Rnd 1, 2008 to now) is that we have won a premiership. Winning a premiership in 2008 suggests that we were, on more occasions than not, first to the ball.
How do we keep losing the free kick counts?
Is it a problem in how we are being coached?
Are we employing illegal tactics around the stoppages?
Or, put simply, are we being over umpired because of the "unsociable football" crap?
There were some decisions yesterday against Hawthorn in the 2nd half (and non-decisions that don't impact the free kick tally) that quite simply defied belief.
