J Brown was on song, and looked like ripping us one.

The last 3 qtrs were great, awesome to see a Pie defender getting in J Browns face, going the tussle, niggling away, some nice spoils, and some great running off.

Kudos Leigh.
He must have shuddered at first when Presti went off and he was one on one in the first.

Much like others, at half time I was screaming at the tele as to why Mick kept him on it, but as the game went on he began to beat him, with the help of others, and made sure he was always there with him.

Seemed insane at the time to keep him on Brown after brown had kicked 3.

However i guess mick thought we are still within a couple of goals and its only brown hurting us and no other brisbane forwards even looked like it.

He did well was very physical and got under JB's skin. Loved the tackle leigh laid on him at one stage and he absolutely just crunched him.

I actually thought we were goners. I thought either Mick had to put Maxwell or O'brien on him or else Brown would end up with 10 goals at the end of the game.

I actually can't believe it took Mick that long to do something about it, thought he wouldn't make any change at all, but I'm glad he did the zone which allowed us to have multiple defenders around J.Brown.

Kudos to L.Brown though, you could see in the first quarter he wanted to keep his distance from J.Brown but really got stuck and aggressive into J.Brown for the rest of the 3 quarters.

Yeah, saw Leigh Brown giving Brown so much shit when he missed then it went to the other end and Presti was having a shot at goal, was great to watch.

Leroy was good tonight, but he got plenty of help from Cameron Wood after 1/4 time who sacrificed his own game a lot to drop back into the "hole" in front of Jono Brown on several occasions.

Together, Leroy and Woodie beat J.Brown.

But one tackle on maxwell in the first actually ended with Brown trying to wrench maxy's ankle out of the socket, i get it was the stop maxy from running on but twisting someones ankle? bit not on for mine.

I like the tough niggly stuff, make them earn it etc but i thought that was too far. I doubt you woudl see it on TV mid first quarter right in front of me

I actually described one, yes leigh had alot of help and lost his fair amount of one on ones but he won a couple as well

After the first quarter... how many goals did you expect from him, if MM left Leigh on him for the rest of the game? I was expecting about 15. Leigh Brown did well, accepted the challenge from MM, yes he had support (its a team game)... but Leigh Brown had his toughest assignment so far in black and white colours and deserves Kudo's - but you think he doesnt... you think we dont realise that the other backmen backed him up... how stupid do you think we are?

It was extremely important that someone stuck up to him. This young Collingwood team needs a couple of meat cleavers throwing their weight around.

I said it last week after he beat Kruezer: He's not going to be any good as a defender unless he has a very favourable match-up. This isn't some crazy theory...he's played over 200 games, most of them as a relatively poor defender.
