Yeah look at everyone go, trying to hide the taste of a mushroom by adding lots of other flavors and ingredients 😆
My hand-washed fried spored fungi for breakfast this morning, was heavily sedated with, bacon, eggs, rye sour dough toast, fake butter, avocado, fried onions, fresh diced tomatoes, hash browns and most importantly, garlic.

Edit: How could I forget the hash browns, salt and pepper in my original post.

Can I come around your place for breakfast?

Not until the household is all free from COVID.

Hence that huge breakfast of garlic, seasoned with fungi and friends, to exterminate the existing COVID spores.

Note: I forget to add that there was also a battering of hash browns, spiked with both pepper and salt, holding the fungi hostage for breakfast too.

Just gets better. I'm on the way, don't worry, I've been vaccinated.

Add waffles to that, I'm there too 👍

This seems odd to me. A reportedly healthy child died of gastro. I wonder if they do a toxicology test? Mushrooms?

Not likely, after the gastrointestinal phase of Amanita Phalliodes poisoning folks may get a little better then they go down hill with liver and kidney failure over the next week and die about day 7-10 if they don't receive treatment, and sadly sometimes if they do. From what's reported this happened much quicker, the coroner should find a cause.

Thank you. I don’t know if it’s misreporting but it reads like she woke up sick and they took her to the hospital that day.

I could understand a baby or an elderly person going down hill fast but didn’t know it could happen to a healthy 12 year old. Unless she had an underlying medical condition no one knew about.

It could be an underlying medical condition and something unrelated, it may never have been gastroenteritis. Sometimes very bad things happen despite the correct care.

plus one for the absolute hatred or mushrooms. Slimy when cooked, smelly, look like s**t, taste like s**t.

Put as much garlic as you want on them you sickos are still eating fungus
I like to eat fungus, especially foraged mushrooms, (growing locally in winter here)
They don't taste like shit.
Enjoy your processed foods instead then, all you mushroom haters

I have just one question, why did she prepare this meal of mushrooms but not eat any herself?
The answer to that question will solve the case.
We don't even know if she did or didn't eat it.

Her story is she did eat it:
In a statement to Victoria Police, seen by The Age, Patterson said she too had been hospitalised after the lunch with bad stomach pains and diarrhoea.

Gippsland Southern Health confirmed to 9News it briefly treated and transferred four people - the four guests who died or became seriously ill - who presented with suspected food poisoning on July 30.

Chief executive Lou Sparkes said a fifth person presented at Leongatha Hospital on July 30 with suspected food poisoning later returned to the health service and was discharged via transfer to Monash Hospital.
