Lets Get Salopek

It's my guess that the highly rated Salopek orginally from Dandenong Stingrays would be at the tail end of his first 2 year contract.

RFC should make this young fella priority No 1 to secure through the PSD or if we wish to be kind to Port , offer them a 3rd Round draft pick.

This young player would have 10 years ahead of him at the top level and was rated as top 3 pick when he landed in powers lap at 7 or 8 .

Will come back to how much he misses home, given tragic circumstances that he lost one of his parents my guess is prob a fair bit

Let them get screwed over and get nothing for him. We can just pick him up in the Pre-season draft!!

Would be one hell of a pick up , better than getting recycled ,25 year old player , would be a real bonus

Ayoung player of his ilk , along with 1-4 in the draft would give us a fair injection , throw in Mr . Plough and a real foundation is being laid

I know the tigers were extremely interested in Salopek 2 years ago... that is why Miller was suggesting taking the AFL to court over the Carlton debacle. If we had've had a selection, Salopek was a monty to be picked up by the tigers.

Would that be Salopek over Daniel Wells? I like Salopek but I like Wells more.

I hope Miller will be going after a young player in the psd, aged in the low 20's with a lot of potential. A player that is homesick and wants to play in Vic. Hopfully Port go out in straight sets again and he wants out.

I think Miller will get a shock as to what clubs are prepared to offer for Fiora - a few laughs perhaps. Then again, Miller is a smart operator and probably knows his percieved value among other clubs . Fiora as trade bait will not get much nor will Rodan at this stage.

If we want to truly get a player like Salopek then well need to move up our heirarchy a fair bit and start talking names that will keep them interested. Id love to stooge a club for those two but cant see it happening.

Im interested as to what will be the Ben Holland type decision this year.

i.e. Player in our top bracket but considered to be overpaid.

I think the bulk of you are missing the point , if he is un-contracted we`ll get him for nicks in the PSD . He is definatly the best "potential" PSD draft pickup i have heard bandied about so far
