Re: Port Power - This Century's Self-Humiliation Experts

*Marty taps signature* who knows:confused:

Lol @ toots. What a clown. That fool was talking so much shit in the lead up to the grand final. I knew he wouldn't come back after we thumped them. Everything he has been saying since he signed up for bigfooty means nothing now that Port lost the grand final by 119 points... HAHAHAAH... 119 points... 119 points... 119 points... feels good... 1 more time... 119 points.

And coming from a Cats fan, that response is ok by me, and completely understandable - you spanked us.

But what is weird is the Crows fans who seem to rate it as the third greatest on-field moment in their 17 year history (behind 97/98) - and they weren't even on the field!

We dont rate it the 3rd greatest on field moment in our history, we rate it the greatest moment in your history. 119, may it live Forever!

How could it possibly be the greatest moment in our history? That makes no sense.

Not the greatest for a Port supporter, but comes in second for all we have heard from Port supporters is what an achievement it was to finish second.

For the rest of us supporters it was your greatest moment because after all the arrogant dribble we have had to put up with, you guys put in the worst performance in the history of the game. Just think about that, no team has lost by that margin in a GF for over 100 years!!!! And if only Geelong had kicked straight, we would have been talking about 150 plus, but hey you guys would have still been proud:rolleyes:

What were the odds for you guys to set the record for the GREATEST LOSING MARGIN IN A GF?

As for fantastic years, when is it acceptable to have a fantastic year? I thought the goal was to win Grand Finals not just make them.

Face it you guys blew a golden opportunity, lets look at the facts:

You finished second with the longest winning streak of all the teams in the finals
You beat Geelong at their home ground only 1 month earlier
You went in with 10 premiership players
Your club thought they had a good chance of winning, hows that empty spot on the wall?
Geelong hadnt won a GF for over 40 years
Geelong just beat Collingwood
All the pressure was on Geelong, according to Warren you "had nothing to lose"
Geelong were desperate to recall "Old School" King

You talk about our decline because of a few old stars, what shape are you guys going to be in once Lade, Brogan, Wilson, Tredrea (he of 1 yr contract), P Burgoyne and Chad are gone?

you are the only one who will make up all kinds of rubbish to prove your pathetic point, unfortunately, like stock markets, bookie odds reflect the market sentiment and what does 1.39 - 3.50 tell you??? yeah we blew it... according to you, but again, you are a nobody. Facts in CEs book is not quite facts in everyone elses book but oh well, whatever floats your boat :)

Oooh I think TeePee is upset. You blew it because you were in a Grand Final and had a chance to win a flag. I notice you havent refuted one of my points but instead decide to hide behind the gambling industry.

119 and loving it

It is kind of funny, but if I was a crows supporter, I would be loving it too! You rubbed their noses in it, and they've come back to get some of their own.

Well for someone who doesnt care about my opinion, you seem to be getting very worked up by it. Whats the matter Teepeeeeeeeeeeee the constant reminder of 119 getting to you? Or is it the waste of your $10000 to see them play, but you did that knowing they were not going to win because according to you the bookies you gave Port no chance.

I asked this earlier, but you havent answered, what were the odds of Port creating the record for the GREATEST LOSING MARGIN IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME?

Excuses excuses excuses... No matter what excuses you can come up with, the only important fact is that Port failed to show any heart at all on the day. I doubt a more embarressing performance on grand final day was shown by any other team in any other league in the country. And you know this. :thumbsu:

Re: Grand Final Graphics-Post 'em here

Hey mum, can I have another woody & cola, my ADHD is going crazy. I don't want to wait until port power's next goal today before my haircut either.

lmao how about adopting the richmond culture da crow? when your own club is worse than port, how can you criticise us? you wont even win the flag in your choke run :thumbsu:

Don't be too sure of that Magoo, what recent history has shown in the AFL is not to expect the expected & even though PA should by all reasonable standards be pencilled in at least for a top four finish for the next few years it would not surprise me one little bit if your club should go into retreat next year & struggle to reach the lofty heights of 2007.

Where as the AFC will be there abouts for a couple of years until we once again are in a position of strength to right the wrongs of the missed opportunities of 05 & 06

I have supreme confidence in my teams ability to bounce back from one poor performance & win another premiership Noddy. If it doesn't happen in 2008 then i believe we can do it in 2009 or 2010. First though we need to win enough games (usually 12) to qualify to make the finals & only then can we try to get some respect back that we lost as a club in the eyes of the football world.

I know what you're coming from Noddy & one of the reasons we performed so well was because we played so consistent (which is a good sign for a team that had a number of players playing all season with less than 50 games experience) you look at our season performance/consistency wise & you could say that we really only put in two bad games all year - both against geelong (loss of 56 points & loss of 119 points).

yeah the afc should be around the 8 again as you got a very good draw... or maybe just outside the 8 depending on how well your younger players start stepping up

we shall see noddy .... we shall see ...

Answer the question not dodge it, Why cant Port Power beat the AFC???? How can you say that Port Power is better than the AFC when they cannot beat the AFC???

im sure that you'll be asking the same question in the next few years once you lose a few quality players to retirement - goodwin, mclod, edwards in particular ... a comparison - james, francou, carr... etc.

Port don't anywhere near the quality midfield depth that we had a few years ago - it's that simple .... stack it any way you want to.
