Not sure if this has already been posted somewhere, but even if so deserves to be posted again:

Does Ginever still work for the club? Feels like he's let the reins loose a bit lately. Whilst not going to the lengths Tredrea has, he definetely doesn't seem to be as afraid to take a swipe at the current custodians.

Timmy normally has splinters around the sphincter that's how much he fence sits due to his role at the club, but you're right - he has let the hair down a little more but that is completely around the straight sets exit fiasco. Even the club knows there is no hiding how much of a shit-truck decision it was to sign him before finals.

SANFL listed player Campbell Wildman, and former Port player Jack Trengove win the Div 1 flag with Prince Alfred OC.

SANFL listed player Charlie McArthur wins the Div 1 ressies flag with Goodwood Saints.

SANFL listed player Jackson Lee won the North Eastern league flag with Brinkworth Spalding Redhill.

Port Legend Darren Mead appointed Seaton Ramblers head coach. His son former PAFC SANFL listed player Mitch Mead is there as well.

Sorry to interupt but Moonta were absolutely belted in the Grand Final. Tyson Goldsack was also a member of the Moonta team.

Whoops, I accidentally read the 2022 GF result for that.

Andrew McLeod's son Connor wins SANFL reserves premiership at Glenelg.

The more I hear past 'legends' of the club speak, the more disillusioned I am with the past as well.

It feels like the club just continued under its own momentum that Fos built in the 50s, that real winners like Fos, Cahill, Tredrea, were few and far between, and that everyone else just followed along under that self propelled momentum until it eventually ran out and those people, and those with direct connections to them, all departed the club.

Wait...he named his son Connor McLeod? I thought there could be only one.

Almost, edgie. Those “few and far between” would help with the momentum.

The problem is that, since the 2004 flag, we have no one willing to raise sail. I have no idea why, but the 2004 flag was our last moment as Port Adelaide Football Club.

We were never the same after it.

He's not an official employee but he still does a bit, eg with induction of new players.

That's leadership edgie.

The likes of John Cahill and Tredders were able to lead and have others follow.

But we had this reputation where even the most unremarkable fringe player was fully invested in that culture, not just following leaders, but being able to live it on their own. Now it seems to be that the more we hear from people, many players, administrators, etc, that were big parts and drivers of our success in the SANFL and AFL, the more they speak and apply it to the situation, the more it begins to sound like they just did not get it or understand it, they just did what they were told and benefitted from it.

They fully lived it. No doubt. It doesn't mean they understood it.

They simply went along completely invested on it.
