is that shane field that used to play for avoca, if so steve ross is ten times the player he is, i remember him running around for avoca and he couldnt get a kick, he was just lucky he had a bit of size or he would not have got a touch, i like how he went to the mcdfl and started dominating, it just goes to show how big the gap is between those two leagues:eek:

In fairness to Megs and the MCDFL he did improve a hell of a lot as a player once he left Avoca and went to Brook. I would imagine he could go back to Lexton Plains now and be very handy.

A bloke from Illarbrook was found guilty of eye gouging last year and only got 3 weeks. You can't report blokes from personal complaints from what ive heard only the umpires on the day can do that.
Worst post ever i give it a 1 out of 10:thumbsdown:

I said if true and you can certainly launch an investigation into a serious offence. I'm sure the LPFL would rate eye gouging up there with serious offences.

If you break someones jaw, it will mend in time and there will be no permanent damage. If you ruin somebody's sight, that is permanent.

Only the scum of the earth eye gouge and if found guilty, they should suffer serious consequences.

I'm not saying that in regards to the person who is alledged to have done it, but anybody in general that feels a game of country football is worth possibly ruining a persons eye sight for life.

Personally, I think that CL would have been better off if he was out for the season as was quoted by watthe last week. All his good work is undone by his stupidity. Although CL is looking a lot better and going down to Skipton by 7 points is a good result, they still have 5 losses on the board. They play Skipton once more, Rokewood x2, Natte x1 and Navarre x2.

They will at least lose 3 of those games and will not get 3rd spot. Coming from 4th or 5th to win a flag will be a massive effort.

OSB after that post i had made i was made aware that the rumour was made up by a mate and me being very gulible fell for it, i apologise to everyone for that unwarranted post and will be sure to double check my sources in the future, but getting back to the w/e game skipton v c/l i thourght it was a very entertaining game of football and as a neutuel onlooker there were some very dodgy decisions paid in that last qtr (and all day) that went against c/l though in saying that there where times they were undiciplined, hill was best on by a mile

I agree eye gouging is a very serious offence but as usual people are quick to spread bad rumours about c/l players and i think it was just a rumour. Personally ive been accidently hit in the eye on a few occasions in football and its not pleasant but getting knocked out isn't either. I agree that a broken jaw will mend but on the other hand your jaws not far from your temple and if you get hit there things can get serious. But I guess thats the risk we take as players when we step on the field

i think he dropped a heap of weight before he went across to the mcdfl which meant his knees weren't chaffing anymore, he seems to of made a bit of a name for himself and i hear he is playing up near horsham somewhere. when i seen him playing at avoca he always had the potential just weighed to much to play where he should've been playing.

Lets get one thing straight, I was at the game standing just where the players run on through the interchange. A player left the field, blood was running from under his eye, and when asked what happened was not shy in pointing out that he'd been gouged, fact. But in saying that i dont think it'll go any further. Overall though i think C/L played footy at the ball for 90% of the day...pity you can only win big games by playing footy 100% of the time

Very true King Rich. You can't kick centuries in a bottom of the ladder team.
no you r not going to kick centuries in a bottom side, but if you r any good you would at least stand out, and he didnt even do that apart from the fact he was big and that is it, havent seen the league play myself but if he can kick a century god knows what the likes of porter, mckay and mc namee could do, point is he is no good :)

THE CHFL IS A FAR STRONGER COMP THAN THIS PATHETIC LEAGUE GOOD LUCK TO THOSE PRETENDERS FROM SKIPTON CAUSE THEY WOULDNT GET A GAME FOR SEBASTOPOL RESSIES.
Well done on your insightful, information packed post jerk. Nobody said any different did they? the BFL is stronger than CHFL, VFL stronger than BFL etc. K.Molloy really struggled at Redan didn't he you pathetic pale skinned heartless parisite. Go away and annoy your mum and dad for bringing your wasteful self into the world

Before you start throwing stones there bucket mouth who do you play for?? No point asking your name because I'd invisage that you would be too gutless to enlighten us on who is hiding behind the name slasher, or maybe you might prove me wrong and let us all know!!

If you've never seen the league and the Big Fella play in that league before then go and do something like maybe play chicken with a few cars on a very busy highway!! :p

The fact is for the past 5 to 6 years he has been a dominant force up forward and has kicked bags of goals, not just against the lower sides either I must add. Ask anyone who plays for Talbot the day he kicked about 15 against them when they were at there peak and a very good side at that, bout 5 years ago if I can remember correctly, wasn't just a fluke buddy!!
