Spot on Brett-75. few of the Navarre boys were complaining that their groung was hard over the weekend!!!!
Can anyone from Illabrook or C/L confirm that Barcley from Illabrook got suspended for 8 weeks last night.

Yep, Barclay got 8weeks (He needs to control his temper).
Illabarook FC got a $200 fine for the runner mouthing off.
The goal umpire that hit the Illabarook kid got a slap on the wrist with C/L getting a $500 fine.
So the tribunal are saying, if you want to punch someone and not get rubbed out. Just volunteer as goal umpire for the day instead of playing!!!

Were drawing fairly close to the June 30th cut off for players, have any teams got any coming and goings? Natte will line up pretty much unchanged for the rest of 2007 i would imagine, there haven't been any sightings of new players at training to report!

I think the LPFL is all set for a big second half of the year. Lots of good teams in the comp as well as the two stand outs being Skipton and Rokewood who are going from strength to strength. Natte and Carngham have there backs up against the wall IMO and Illabrook and Navarre have got to hope they can get it right on the day. I'm with Rokewood for flag though!

Whisper is Natte's fat full forward is plonking himself back in the goal square after his stint in the midfeild. Will be interesting if he can hunt down the pack and take out the goal kicking back to back. He's given the others a fair lead but it's a bit like last year where he had to chase down Browny from Lexton! My tip is he might struggle but should rack up some big figures.

As for no recruits going to Natte, thats not the word on the street. Stop feeding us porky pies DA!

Goodluck to all teams from now on in, would be great to see another team other then the southern clubs take it out.

What a load of BS! He was found guilty and his club fined so they are not saying any such thing. Clearly the offence was not as serious as that of the junior age coach who cannot control himself. For the sake of the Illabarook juniors I hope the club has ensured that Barclay is indeed the right person to be coaching the team.

MasterofRoc?

Who r u?

Hah. Im ok, i just had my frist week back last week vs lexton, had 7weeks off so bit unfit, but feeling ok.

Ye havn't been home 4 a while (c_D).

Hows St.Arnaud footy goin??

3 clearances in to leave C/L. Allen, Coon, Ingrams. How many more to follow suit? said a few weeks ago "C/L to implode" someones flicked the switch so stand back!

It looks like these guys wanted a easy premiership medal around there necks, and now they will have to work hard for it, they decide to take the soft option and go home......

And that has been exactly the way they have been playing as well
carnham seem to have calmed down a bit this year (i.e the elbows and behind play cheap shots) is it because they arent winning as many games or have they lost most of their nut cases?

My mail was sort of right. They were the names I had linked with Carisbrook. It does not look good if your assistant coach pulls the pin half way through the year.

watched navarre and C/L play yesterday C/L started like a house on fire while navarre were never in the contest number 30 for C/L gave bill driscoll a touch up while ladgies and burt up forward were very dangerous as was waters and greenbank while hill and stasse also dominated 2 blokes on the wing also did well numbers 25 and 43 i think :S, wayne driscoll was good up forward for navarre think he kicked 4 or 5, they were just out played by C/L

Anyone see the Rokewood Skipton game? From all reports it was a good contest. Will these two teams play off in the grand final? See Fletcher played in the reserves for Skipton. McNamee kicked 21 goals for Natte on the weekend... amazing effort. Pretty embarrasing for poor old Ararat. He will be massively targeted by backman now.. see how many he kicks this week against CL.

Saw Lexton and Illabarook on Saturday. Illabarook are a well drilled side and will play finals. Are a very even side, however seemed to lack any real stars. In saying that some of there players such as #11, #14 and their full forward played well getting heaps of it.
Interesting to see how they perform against top sides as there wasn't much competition from Lexton bar about 5 or 6 players who had a go.
Good to see a side such as Illabarook improving though, having been easy beats for a long time. All the best to them.

Mcnamee had a quiet day satdy i see. Has hit the lead well and truly in the goal kicking. Anyone see the game was he just one out in the 50?

I've never had the opportunity to see James Mcnamee play. Obviously a class act. With his 30 odd possessions the previous week, he is leading by example.

I'm pretty sure he is already targeted player. Everyside would know who is going to match up on him by thursday night.

Looks as if the top 5 is pretty well set in stone; Skipton, Rokewood, Natte, Illabarook and Carngham. I would think it would stay that way but Carngham may come home with a wet sail and push for top 3.

yes but even more emphasis will be put on him and as natte's only real scoring power i think they will suffer... but only time will tell! Still as i said pretty amazing effort to kick that many goals. Anyone know how many points he kicked??

Its easy to play well against the easier sides, been well down on form this year from what i have seen and heard. Hasn't stood tall against top opposition yet so must do that to be regarded as the best forward or midfielder

True that c/l totally outplayerd navarre for most of the game other than about 20 mins of footy where navarre had a crack. Dunno what game you were watching though digger bodey was clearly BOG with Hill not far away. Ladiges was good up forward as well. Ross waters was lucky if he hit double figures for disposals as well as greenbank. Matt Stasse and Matt Sharman broke about even in the ruck with neither being dominant. Young David Lang and Marcus Driscoll were clearly Navarres best.
So version i saw was a fair bit different to what you saw!!

I think Navarre was very undermanned with both coaches Bigmore and Harney (Played 10 mins) not playing, Josh Monaghan, Matt Radovic, Daniel Parkin etc all out. From what i hear they had up to a dozen senior players out with majority injured or unavailable for rest of the year. Just shows that you need some luck with injuries to go your way
