What is the go with skiptons jumper design? I know they have had it for a couple of years due to a clash with the natte jumper, but for all the jumpers they could have chosen they decided to go with the old cressy jumper. Cressy haven't been in recess that long and considering the teams used to play against each other maybe there was a shady back room deal that saw an 'unofficial' merger between the two teams. Maybe skipton should be known as 'Cressy Skipton'. Another combine for the league. Rumour has it that muscles humphreys wants the recent premiership photos and flags to be changed to Cressy Skipton!

True that c/l totally outplayerd navarre for most of the game other than about 20 mins of footy where navarre had a crack. Dunno what game you were watching though digger bodey was clearly BOG with Hill not far away. Ladiges was good up forward as well. Ross waters was lucky if he hit double figures for disposals as well as greenbank. Matt Stasse and Matt Sharman broke about even in the ruck with neither being dominant. Young David Lang and Marcus Driscoll were clearly Navarres best.
So version i saw was a fair bit different to what you saw!!

I think Navarre was very undermanned with both coaches Bigmore and Harney (Played 10 mins) not playing, Josh Monaghan, Matt Radovic, Daniel Parkin etc all out. From what i hear they had up to a dozen senior players out with majority injured or unavailable for rest of the year. Just shows that you need some luck with injuries to go your way

na i agree with you golden flyer although greenbank was prominant early, digger bodey was second best to #30 think his name is jamieson he did give a bath

yes but even more emphasis will be put on him and as natte's only real scoring power i think they will suffer... but only time will tell! Still as i said pretty amazing effort to kick that many goals. Anyone know how many points he kicked??

The word was that he kicked pretty straight, i think it was about 21 goals 4 or something but they said he didn't miss once from inside 50m. Thought that it wasn't a bad effort really.

Golden Flyer, i haven't seen too many of the Natte games but i work with the bloke from Natte who does the stats and in the past 5 weeks he is averaging 39 possessions a game which isn't too bad as he plays both full forward & onball. I think he should plonk himself into the goal square and not bother about the midfield, there aren't too many guys in the league that could bag 21 goals but there are plenty that could get 40 touches so why wouldn't you play to your strengths and just slot them through the big sticks.

Its easy to play well against the easier sides, been well down on form this year from what i have seen and heard. Hasn't stood tall against top opposition yet so must do that to be regarded as the best forward or midfielder

I give a perfect 10.0 for the dismount off the high horse buddy.

Easy to play well? How many times have you kicked 21 goals?

I have seen 2 Natte games this year and still think he is in the top 5 players in the league. He's been playing in the midfield to cover the loss of Luke Berlund and from reports is #1 in possessions for Natte. He and Jeremy Robinson did beat CL single handedly too and I personally think they are a good team. I would say he is having a much better season than last year.

Talking to guys in this league and they say Natte is a bit of a 1 man show which is impossible to win Grand Finals with.

What colour jumper do Natte have?
I like Skipton's jumper which is pretty good.

Interesting that u mention humphries Mr Responsible, rumour has it that one of the deciding factors in Skipton going with the old Cressy jumper was to lure across Muscles for a possible coaching role. However this deal fell through at the last minute when apparently a couple of the McKay boys were causing a bit of trouble at the Tower Nightclub out in Cressy and Muscles went through all of them. A couple of my mates that were there reckon there were up to 6 blokes holding muscles back so he didn't kill the poor blokes. Muscles never got over it and hence never did play for Skipton

Just looking at the transfer page and i see Fred Nortje is leaving Rokewood, has he played any games this year?
It will be interesting to see if Coon, Allen and Ingram get clearances, its hard to see why C/L would clear them.

Does anyone know what the process of the June 30 cut off date is, do you have to have the player cleared by then or just the clearance form lodged?

Fairly certain only the clearance must be lodged by 30th. I agree that C/L would have no reason to clear them. Interesting to see what happens there

If their clearances are refused they would need to go straight to appeal. No other choice.

You would think that an appeals board would find it difficult to clear them mid season. I have been to two appeals in my life, (none as the player in question) and they are quite grilling. I don't know whether they would be to keen on the reason to leave being a change of heart. Why are they leaving anyway? Certainly Clunes are not setting the world on fire in the CHFL. It did seen a rather strange decision. Wasn't one of them the assistant coach?

very smart footballer led to all the right spots and lack of pressure on natte midfield meant very good delivery and most of his shots were no more than 30 metres out dead in front or slight angle at worst did kick a helicopter in the last quarter from 25 out right in front and just made the goal square probably nackered by then though

I have to admit that this is a sensational effort. 21 from 25. It's not like the team kicked 50 goals like some of the scores we see in country footy these days.

A big thanks to Rokewood for taking back that peanut who came across into the MCDFL. All i can say is i hope that C/L do what they do best and belt him to a pulp. He is a weak sniper thats far too yappy for his own good. Would love to see him get smashed!

Clearances.

Need to have the form lodged by the end of the month. If you haven't played a game for a side in the last 24 months, they can't reject the clearance and it goes straight through. You do need to fill out the club that you are clearing from i.e. is not just a registration. my understanding is that you are not required to go to that club and get that president to sign (although my thoughts are, you would do this out of courtesy). But in the last two days you may not be able to get in touch with a short time frame. Once it is in, it can be sorted out after the date. The process is the same for clearances from the VAFA to and from the VCFL. Spoke with both leagues this week.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I dunno why they would want him back. Thought he had some kind of coaching role at Trentham, what happened there?

Heard they objected to the C/L coaches actions at their recent Rokewood game and don't want to be associated with such people.
Can anyone confirm this??

That is the mail I've got. Apparently it was only the straw that broke the camels back though. It's been building up for a while now according to my sources.

See on the transfer list Natte have a heap of players with clearances to go there for the rest of 07. There is a few from a pretty high level from the looks of it. Might be just what Natte needs to get a bit more depth, it will be very handy for the club come finals!
