The saints should be too strong with the best midfield in the comp featuring Nick O'Brien, Benny J and new kid on the block Rory Nunn. The eagles backline could have their work cut out for them tomorrow!:thumbsu:

any results on today?
illabarook only just got over lexton by 2 points in a come from behind victory, the diggies will have to lift over the next month if there any chance at flag.

better players: schiltz, peart, kalaspireas, molloy
 
Eagles won by about 10 points against Carngham in the upset of the round (first time Saints have lost at home all year).

Were winning by 6 goals at half time but Eagles let the foot off the pedal and Carngham Linton played some really good footy to close the gap at 3 quarter time. Then in the last quarter the Saints played well again and made one last surge but Eagles were good under pressure and did enough to close the game out.

Best players: Shaun North, Josh Bywater, Ash Legget, Steve Butler and Jarrod Cunningham but all of the players played really well so it was basically impossible to pick a top 5 players.

Next week should be an awesome round:

You have 2 top five clashes (Navarre/Skipton and Ararat/Illabrook). Then Carngham/Lexton and Rokewood/Natte should both be pretty close games too. It's still anybody's game for positions in the top 5 really.

Anybody know the major goal kickers for each game?

For Eagles it was Steve Butler 3, Ash Legget 2 and Matt Zorkau 2. Dunno about Carngham but I think Rory got a couple and that full forward with the piercing got 3 or so.

yeh i guess but fro wat i heard the doggies are on a down hill run since they only got ova the tigers by 2 points that could hva been upset of the year

Very true biscuit..may be possible with a few upsets from the top two and a few big wins from C/L, Skipton or Ararat..

My view on the ladder at the end of the season after the past round..

1. Navarre
2. Ararat
3. Illabrook
4. C/L
5. Skipton
6. Lexton
7. Natte
8. Rokewood

I'm pretty sure that it was Justin O'Brien that played on the weekend, wasn't getting much of the ball at full foward so they moved him into the middle and he had an impact on the game from then on.. Nic did the goal umpiring for them..

Ararat will have to win every game from now on to make it to that spot bighawk, but it can be done.. Does anybody know who number 2 is for Illabarook??
 
If Ararat win this week and keep their form consistent I could us overtaking Linton who still have to face some difficult teams...

A top 2 finish however is unlikely for the Eagles and Illabrook would have to hit some seriously bad form to drop out of the top 2.
