Gold Coast want them, and that's what they have.

Correct on the last bit. Will be 2x firsts. Which 2x we'll see. Probably depends on where Port finish.

Rioli is only still 27yo, he is a triple premiership player, he excelled on finals, he is a lightning fast running half back with elite skill.
Any team would want him.
Pick 6 is unders,pick 6 will not be as good a player at Rioli 90% of the time.
Again, he's contracted so it needs to be a par offer at the very minimum.

What you want and what you can get are different things. Richmond will still do very well out of this trade period though.

We'll get 6 for Rioli, and we'll get 9+10 for Bolton (plus salary), so long as the Kosi thing is a no go. Happy to put a bet on that.

Rioli is only worth what the Suns are willing to pay.
It seems the coach and club are enamoured with him and convinced him to play for them.

The club has a history of paying up (some would say over paying) when it comes to trades.

So I’m confident that GC will give up more than what you personally think Rioli is worth.

Personally I don’t see why Freo fans wouldn’t be excited about getting both Baker and Bolton. Their three firsts gets them this and a real shot at pushing forward to contending next year.

2023 and 2024 seasons have shown you don’t need to be an outstanding team to win the flag.

The next 2-3 years are Freos chance to finally break their duck.

For me I’d rather Baker goes to Freo and gives them some success rather than eeking out the rest of his career at West Coast.
