I am aware of them and I don’t find it particularly funny that they’ve played more than Cox. Talent and experience are vastly different concepts...

It's both amusing and disturbing how sycophantic you are.

You are aware there is not a discernible shred of forward structure within the team, let alone 4 of those players haven't even played a game, and a further five haven't even played half a dozen.

It's. Disturbing that you say that
Let's think
De goey missed 10 games
Sidey 12
Cox no pre season and blind missed 7

Sidey Keane. Mihochek
De goey Cox. ?

Has a good look to me

He is realistic he knows given his position he needs to grow into his body. No need to rush him.

We'll also get that richmond fan out of him lol

I could see him getting a Few Games this Season IF he plays well. Play the Postion Ruscoe did last year

18 year old key forwards don't really play much in their 1st year unless they're freak talents... Probably gonna have to wait 3-4 years for this one realistically.

Corey Gault got 7 years so, I don't expect he'll be rushed..

I know it felt like 7 years, Kappa, but Gault was with us for 5. His first year was 2012 and he was let go at the end of 2016.

Hold up a sec. Lynch has been on our list for as long as Gault?

And they are both as bad as each other

I’d actually argue Gault showed much more in his first 4 seasons than Lynch has. He ultimately never went close to delivering, but he did at least tease us with potential and is now dominating in the WAFL. Both of which Lynch hasn’t done (tease us) and probably won’t either (dominate at state league level).

Gault was a better player.

Gault was a relatively highly rated youngster from memory who played through all the elite junior pathways in WA. We took him in the 3rd round of the 2011 draft. Conversely, Lynch was new to those pathways in his draft year, only played a few games from memory, so was coming from a long way back. Was the 3rd last player taken in the rookie draft (4th round). They were also different players. Gault was a midfielder who grew quite a bit in his draft year and was seen as a KPF prospect. Lynch was an athletic beast seen as a ruck prospect. I'd expect Gault to be ahead at this comparative stage of their careers but I actually think Lynch has a higher ceiling.

I don't understand why Lynch was not delisted. In his one senior game last year, I thought he showed nothing to suggest he is ever going to be an AFL player. As for the athleticism he is meant to possess, or the speed he seems to show in the time trials this season, evidence of either attribute escaped me too. He is 22 so I guess has another year or so to show that he might have something to offer, but if I was list manager, which fortunately for Lynch and many others I am not, I'd have put a line through his name several months back.

We need to have some ruck depth is the short answer.

Ah the Benny Kinnear Lifetime Achievement Award: 10 years, 50 games, life membership!

Just on Liam's lugs, I wouldn't dare put him in the square with a 5 goal gale, wind resistance would make it impossible for him to offer a lead!

He'd shown significant improvement each year he'd been on the list in terms of his ruck work and his capacity to play other roles. I think if we hadn't already divested ourselves of so many players, and we hadn't had development somewhat curtailed by CV19 in 2020, he might have been at risk. But I think it's good they've given him another year.

Cameron is our ruck depth. I actually think Cameron is a pretty good ruck prospect. Lynch is depth for our depth.

Depends a bit on perspective.

According to Footywire, Richmond have Nankervis, Soldo, Ryan, and Colina all listed as pure rucks, Chol, Colman-Jones and Balta listed as forward/ruck, and Nyuon as defender/ruck.

By comparison, we have Grundy and Lynch as pure ruck options, and Cameron as forward/ruck. Cox, Moore and Roughy don't even rate a mention in the ruck space.

Yet Brisbane, GWS, Port and West Coast are very light on for ruck depth.

To each their own.
