This is just so dodgy and scary at the same time! I am getting more and more concerned, especially with a call for proxies to be sent to him.

Maybe it's time for TLR to also offer their services to collect proxies. I also feel it's imperative for those of us that have been keeping up with all of this rubbish, to try and get the word out to as many of the less "fanatical" members with voting rights as we can....those that may not be aware of the potential motives of someone like ol' mate Henry.

Emails and phone calls to known members will help, and why not post on your Facebook if you have one, and ask all of your friends who may know members to share your post.

FWIW I have been a member for over 10 years and have used the same email, but haven't received any of his propaganda. I'm Qld based.

A question. Do votes have to be delivered in person, or can they be emailed or posted? (Apologies if this has been asked previously)

I'm a QLD member and while I have received the original emails and haven't unsubscribed I did not receive this one. So its certainly looking like a membership database leak. Wonder if the club would be interested in this? Probably not given this is stinking more and more.

This is extraordinary.

Targetting Vic members, who make up a large portion of voting members for the Club. Specifically referring to voting out the Paddlepop, and virtually pasting over the issue of voting for Board members. "Just send me your proxy", and giving this guy (an alleged puppet for Cameron Milner?) voting control over a large portion of the very few thousand votes required without telling anyone who they are voting for.

IF his intentions were truly honourable, he would not have sent this email out without outlining as to WHICH individuals he is pushing his proxy votes towards. That is as clear as day - these are actions of a dishonourable heist, where the aim is to take control of who people end up voting for, before his alleged team is 'announced'.

There may not even be a 'new team' who he ends up bringing in and nominating. Sign over the proxy, and as suggested, if he is a mate of Cameron Milners, he may well push votes back to Johnson, Milner and Co.

What a dirty rotten scoundrel.

Tell all of those you know as to what it means if you sign the form.

Tell the media as to what he is doing here - asking for proxies for voting, prior to sayinh who he will actually vote for, and hiding it behind the jumper issue.

Put that in the papers for all to see.

This has all of the hallmarks of dirty politics, for which is has allegedly been linked to in the past.

Taking credit for that is not delusional, it's illusion-al. Very calculated attempt to gain confidence. This is becoming a lot more dangerous. We ought not underestimate this. Dr Pinkie has very precise details about who the members are, and he is targeting them for their proxies. He is creating the illusion that he is all in for Matthews, but of course Leigh is not up for election. He is actually pro the Angus trio. Even though the resolution to change the membership status of Life members may be passed, Matthews will not be joining the board a long as the trio are there. If Dr Pinkie gets hold of any Proxies, it seems very likely he will be voting the trios way. Since voting is private, who knows what he'll do with the proxies, he may even vote against the Life member resolution to be changed.

Because Leigh is not up for election, he will not be submitting a 1000 word pitch to members. Only Power and Williams and the trio will be doing that via the club. Leigh can only use Twitter and the media to pitch his view. He has already distanced himself from the Dr on Twitter, I'd like him to get more aggressive and come out in the media asking for the very same member contact list that the Dr has, from the club. He has to distance himself from the Dr at all costs, to discourage anyone from handing over their proxy to the Dr. Furthermore, it would be great if Leigh could anoint a member to handle proxies on his behalf (that is if he himself as a life member does not have voting rights).

This Dr Pinkie need to be exposed for who he really is, and what he is really up to at all costs.

Okay I think this is beyond a joke.

For those worried about receiving spam from Dr Pinskier I encourage you to lodge a complaint to ACMA (the relevant authority) by emailing:

report@submit.spam.acma.gov.au

For those worried about their personal information being leaked to said Dr Pinskier I suggest a complaint to the OAIC at:

http://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints

For those worried about shenigans surrounding the EGM (delays in calling, false or at least misleading material being distributed, nerfarious characters with undisclosed connections trying to split the vote etc) I suggest you make a report to ASIC at:

http://www.asic.gov.au/asic/ASIC.NSF/byHeadline/Complaining about companies or people

Is it possible for the Lions Roar to send out an email to their extensive and voluntarily garnered email listing, encouraging voting members NOT to sign over any proxy forms to anyone until such time as ALL nominees for Board positions have been announced.

That message would not be encouraging anyone to vote for a specific candidate or ticket - but it would be encouraging voting members to hold onto their vote until such time as they are presented with all nominees so they can consider as to who they wish to vote for.

Pinskier's proxy form takes that away from them.

ABSOLUTELY.

Lethal, its time to sharpen up your hip and shoulder on these shenanigans. They have all the hallmarks of filthy politics - he's trying to bring that filth into our football club. You need to utilise the Media 100% to minimise the number of proxies given to this dirty rotten scoundrel.

Leigh is up for election as long as the proposal giving life members the same privileges as full members gets passed first. At this point, he's still up for a vote.

This has sabotage written all over it. I personally find this more alarming, worrisome and confronting than anything else that has happened at our club. We are being patronised here. These arrogant, would be puppeteers must to go.

If you are a Victorian member and/or know other Victorian members, it's time to be very guarded about who you give your proxies to. Spread the word.
As long as they guarantee they won't vote for Johnson or anyone in his camp I'm happy to sign over my vote. Though will most likely sign it over to a mate who used to live in Melbourne and holds the same view of the current inept board as I do.

What do you mean. The way I read it, the vote is for Life Members to have the status of Full Members. Leigh has no play at the EGM.

If the resolution is passed, then Leigh will be eligible to join the board. Time permitting, he may be put up for election at the AGM, otherwise he may be brought in by the board. He is not up for election at the EGM.

I think it is highly dangerous for people to give their proxy to anyone other than a particular candidate they support or to a trusted friend or relative.

If you are a Melbourne based supporter I'd suggest the following approach...

- If you want to support the incumbent board of Johnson, Milner and Nash, send your proxy directly to them (or to their nominated proxy holder)
- If you support the challenging ticket of Power, Williams, Matthews then send your proxy directly to them (or their nominated proxy holder)
- If you want the "fresh start" approach and wish to vote every member off the board you really need to find a trusted friend or family member who will be attending the EGM who has a similar view. If you can't do that, I honestly think you'd be better off abstaining.

Pathetic to see the jumper be used as a political football like this. It seems clear now that it is being used as a tool to trick the Victorian membership base into giving their proxy to an unethical person with questionable alliances and intentions.

Are you sure, Slax? Have you been keeping up with where this guy came from? Lethal has publicly distanced himself from Henry Pinskier. Won't have a bar to do with him.

And probably even more concerning. He wants you to hand over your vote to him TODAY without actually even speculating as to who the vote will be for. Isn't that kinda.... nuts..?

I was under the impression that the EGM's proposals were:
  1. Life Members having the same rights as Full Members.
  2. The jumper.
  3. The removal of five directors (Johnson, Nash, Milner, Williams, Power).
  4. The election of Smith, Matthews and Thornton as directors.

Been keeping up with some of it, been hard over last 2 weeks as been on holidays and reading very little of anything whilst lying on a beach. I know that my mate has been keeping up with and has also said that some of those originally associated with the Lethal so called ticket are more dangerous than what we've got, so tend to think he's getting a lot better information than me.

I actually don't think Johnson has been as bad as some make out, he completely ballsed up the Voss situation and shouldn't of done it until either the end of the season or 5 minutes after Roos had confirmed he'd take the job, he did neither. The thing is you shouldn't keep someone in the top job for too long as they start to become to intertwined in the AFL bureacracy, which is what has happened with Johnson, his recent comments and those by the AFL only reaffirmed this.

Angus thanks for the 14 years on the board and 3 as chairman, but everyone needs to move on at some stage be they player, coach or board member as they become stale and past their best.

If you'd like to read some history as to Dr Henry's background in elections and political parties, these articles are readily available on the net:

All I did was Google, and these were the articles that came up. I did not write them of course, but they are publicly available still, via the power of Google.

He has significant experience in the world of politics and voting.

I am still yet to receive ol' Henry's new email and I am a full voting VIC member, strange considering I had previously received al of his emails.

Interested in this L.F.L. - after his first email, did you email him directly and ask as to how he received your contact details?

What it appears he or those invloved has set out to do - they have achieved. It looks like this campaign, ran with access to the clubs membership database, to completely de-rail what momentum we had going with TLR and the challanging ticket, has worked in causing confusion and to make sure we are discussing him and his lunicy instead of rallying support and making sure people (the less obsessed general style member) are informed on how to vote.

All we have done for the last 10 pages of this thread is discussed Henry P as opposed to making sure everyone is aware of how to vote, supporting Leigh, and discussing the issues at hand related to the EGM.

If as it is, as it would appear - it is actually very clever and we have fallen for it hook, line and sinker.

They have effectivley set off a tear gas canister in the middle of (us) the protesters and no one knows where to run now, it is mass confusion and it is sapping the energy from TLR, this board and now people dont know where to send proxies, the difference between TLR and RTLP and what to beleive.

I said it the day he came out, and ill say it again, we should be ignoring this Guy, he is a looney and we should be focusing on the real issues at hand.

We should all be completely ignoring this guy. It is very important.

So I tweeted this to Pinky: "if u love Leigh so much maybe u could give him access to that email list of yrs...let him tell people what he really thinks"

his reply: " good idea, we'd be happy to work with Lethal and will do anything to support such a Club legend"

my reply: "awesome...i'll ask Leigh to confirm on twitter when he has received it."

I won't hold my breath.
