Jonathan Brown 12

Michael Rischitelli 10

*Jared Brennan, Luke Power 7

Travis Johnstone 4

Simon Black 3

Daniel Rich 2

*Mitch Clark, *Ashley McGrath, Justin Sherman, Brent Staker 1

Just wanted to see what people thought, I'm pretty happy all around considering the season. Browny still polling 12 shows how close he would have been if he'd strung the season together and Brennan/Power polled stronger than I'd expected they would have. Must have to be Blacky's worst season ever :p.

Woh didn't know Shermo got a vote, which round did he poll in?
i think might be early before he was out of form

Black got no votes from nine games in 1998 (debut season). His next lowest was four from 19 games in 2000. http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/players/S/Simon_Black.html

They made a bit of a deal during the count of there only being four players who have a Norm Smith, a Brownlow and a premiership medal and how Hodge would join them if he won the Brownlow. I'm sure we can all name one of them - just for my own curiousity, it turns out the other three were Judd, Hird and Greg Williams.

Imagine if our form from the first 4 rounds held up, JBiz & Brown would've been right up there.

@ Lionmen, it would of been round 3 when Sherman kicked about 4 goals or so.

That list should include one M. Voss. It was a travesty of justice and made them change the time when the judges hand in their votes. Who would have thought it was best to wait until the game had finished?????

I'm surprised that Power polled so many votes, I didn't think he was that much of a standout in many games.

He only polled in three games:
- Three votes against Collingwood for a 35 disposal 250th.
- Two votes against Carlton (Round 2) for 27 disposals and 10 marks.
- Two votes against the Roos for 25 disposals - probably the only questionable one, but I didn't see that game.

He was unfortunate to miss out against Essendon.

Ohhhhh ok, wasn't aware of that.

I thought if anything, he would poll in the Essendon game, thought it was of his better ones for the year, along with Collingwood of course.

I thought Rocky wouldve polled he had a few great games

I think the umpires taking a little while to warm up to newer players (as evidenced by Barlow's lack of votes very early on) and our poor form for most of the mid/late season would take him out of that equation. He was great though, agreed.
