Having a retro bears Guernsey as a clash kit is genius. It takes away the point of those gimmick rounds where only half the league actually uses retro jerseys and it means we can wear it more often. It's genuinely a cool idea that pays homage to our history and it's different enough that more people will buy it. I would also love for the club to run out to "dare to be the bear" when they're wearing it. That would be so extra lol.

I'm all for a Bears clash (although I thought our current 3 guernsey setup was ideal, save for the AFL's obsession with making us wear white shorts), however I would think a Fitzroy-based away kit should also be introduced. I would love to see a version with the darker blue and more purple maroon and a white lion/FFC monogram.

I actually prefer our Fitzroy away colors strip.
That's mainly because it stands out (a bit brighter) than our home kit for my aging eyes.
Wear the Bears strip when playing Suns away and consider for Tasmania games v North.

I wonder if we will see an FFC jumper. Its a erfect opportunity to release both a Bears' and Roys' jumper with the gold logo for some easy profit (and I'll happily contribute hundreds to it!).

The Red away Guernsey still has the Lion for 2025.
They have already been released for sale.

But that doesn't avoid a single clash that the home wouldn't. My preferred path would be to integrate these features into the regular home look. For example I'd like to see us try out blue shorts at home like the Roys used to have.

I'd like to see the royal blue shorts worn with the red jumper in Victoria, especially where the opposition side has white in their jumper and could easily wear white shorts for extra contrast. So against Geelong, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, Carlton, North Melbourne and St Kilda. Against Richmond, Melbourne, Hawthorn and Essendon in Victoria we'd wear the white shorts.
