Did we not defeat Geelong in Round 10 and come back from a 55?pt defecit at the MCG to win the match in what was revered to be one of the greatest comebacks of our modern day game?

It's do-able. And I'm a known anti believer.

I never said not thinking we will make the finals = no faith.
I don't think we'll make the finals either, but I still believe we have a chance. I take offence when people say we have no chance whatsoever and I'm wasting my time.

But thinking we have no chance (which isn't unreasonable given our recent history at Geelong) makes people "shit supporters" amongst other insults. So yeah, not "no faith" - just insults.
 
The positive thing that everyone can agree on hopefully (assuming Essendon's points are stripped) is that it is nice to be in the final round of the season and playing in a game that matters for more than just pride.

Yes it will be a tough game to win but given that our game will be almost over when the Port - Carlton game starts, we can go in knowing that anything is possible. What happens after that, happens.

It is finals footy for our young team, without actually being a final. Great experience, even if nothing else comes of it.

Never called anyone a "shit supporter" and never said other insults as you claim. Quit making false accusations. I called someone a bad supporter because they said the Lions have no chance and I'm wasting my time by supporting them.

Now that's not the truth is it ? No one said you were wasting your time supporting the team , what was said was we are little to no chance of making the finals and its a waste of time thinking we are. Support the lions with all you are worth I know I will the cold facts are
Essendon need to be stripped of points
We need to win against the cats at Geelong (almost impossible)
Cats need a win to stay second and avoid the dockers in Perth
Port ned to beat Carlton

All in all a tough set of conditions

But you never know

True, you didn't say shit. You said "bad" and started telling people they weren't true supporters. And I just realised why that gets my back up - how are you doing, Mr Bowers? I see the Roar position didn't work out that well for you, so you're on BF now?
 
Could you guys imagine the headline if the following happened:
- Lion defeat Geelong, Port defeats Carlton.
- Essendon stripped of points.
- Elimination final against Collingwood, the Lions go back to the old days and win that..
From there I dunno where we go, haha.
 
One round to go and we are still.in the finals race. That alone is gold.
 
The fact that we play before the Port game is good. Not sure how Port will go to be honest, they're already in the finals. Carlton have everything to lose. We'll see I guess - hope we give Geelong absolutely all we've got.
