Across the three games it’s never been clearer that we need consistency of application rather than chopping and changing things. We have seen some of our best footy, just gotta keep plugging away until we hit the sweet spot and get some consistency back.

Hopefully Norf work some of our guys back into confidence.

Good to hear Logan Morris isn’t far off getting a go.

Seems to be the case at the start of every season

5:50 in - Fagan indicates the Mulligans are coming out. Expect a whipping boy to get dropped, but that’s about it.

Fort and Fev for Morris and Kai. Bookmark it.

If we lose to a defence of A Corr and T Pink then it’ll be alarm bells. I’ve actually watched a few North games and their defence is horrific. A lot of panic free kicks as well.
I feel a little sorry for those two. Massive task for guys who probably shouldnt be having to do that role. At least one of our forwards should be kicking a big bad this week - they should get enough looks

North are building quite a decent midfield even if its another year or two away. Guys like LDU are becoming very good. Honestly we should start looking at their midfield like other clubs look at GWS. Who isnt getting enough of a game and try and poach them.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we see Darcy Gardiner back in the team instead of Morris.
As good as the kid is going at the moment, not convinced he is quite ready.

If we throw Gardiner in the forward line I can totally see him pulling a Gunston against WC last year. Kick a bunch and look good and then get locked into the role no matter how bad he is for the next several weeks.

This is exactly the sort of game you should be trying to blood a young forward in, not try and cram in square peg veteran

This team needs an injection of youth. No better time to see what the kids have got than this weekend.
If we lose this week, I will be right behind the idea of an injection of youth.

100% agree, but this is a classic Fagan move in order to justify his cockamamie plan of playing an additional tall. What we actually need is an additional player who can run and chase and tackle, locking the ball in our forward line. Gardiner is a step up from Fort in that regard, but Ah Chee is better than them both in that role.

For what it’s worth, I would like to see Gardiner in the team and in defence in place of Payne.

With the Roos backline the perfect game to debut Morris and give Lohmann a full game
