Happy to overpay in cash for a free agent who will improve our side over the next 4-5 years. Our list doesn’t warrant the minimum salary cap for the next couple seasons so front end his deal and get him over.

Jade Gresham is a free agent at the end of next year. He would be perfect. He’s about 2 years younger than Amon. Easily worth 700-800k a year.

Gresham is a Restricted Free Agent.

He's a highly talented player, but there'd have to be durability concerns to pay 800k IMO.

Why not have him AND Amon. That is how you truly improve the List. Gresham interchanging between small forward and mid.
are you allowed to get two high profile FA in the same off-season? Just asking because I fear Kane Cornes may have an aneurysm if we do

I'd take Jade Gresham in a heart beat. If he passes the medical, get him on a juicy contract and make it heavily performance/games played based.

He's exactly what we need, in the exact age bracket we need. Our poor couple of drafts despite having decent picks in that 2013-2015 range has left us with an issue in that age bracket.

We need to take Amon. Must continue to rort the free agency system :drunk:

On a serious note if he wants to come we welcome him with open arms. We have the cap space and he instantly becomes our best winger. Something we've been lacking.

Perfect age for our list profile.
Day, CJ, Moore & Bramble on the wings please

It will be Morrison and Amon (I'd rumours are true) from round 1 next season I'd suspect.

Day and Moore will get more CBA's.

Jiath permanent back flank.

Bramble wont necessarily be automatic best 22. However I wouldn't mind seeing him trialled as a high half forward. Has the endurance and pace for the roll plus a beautiful kick to deliver the ball inside 50.

IMO endurance, pace & beautiful kick = best 22

Is Jiath endurance and athleticism wasted on hbf?

Footy isn't that simple unfortunately. On form this season and due to encouraging development of other players, I'm just not entirely convinced that Bramble showed enough in 2022 to suggest he's a walk up start on a fully fit list come round 1 next year.
But he has the tools to succeed IMO.

Jiath has elite closing speed and jumping ability. The back flank suits these talents because he can be both an attacking and defensive weapon.

I'm not sure he has the footy IQ to remove Harry Morrison from that wing position. Harry is having a career best season because he reads the game so well.

Try being a defender at hawks, with our current midfield. Our backline definitely earn their keep. Bramble is in our best 22 due to his versatility.

Jiath is a endurance machine, we lack 2 way runners in the midfield. Moore & Maginess also have enormous running capacities.

I also rate Harry very highly.

I don't think we can judge Bramble on this season. He's had a very interrupted year through injury.
I actually thought once he'd strung a few games together this season he was starting to look alright.

I have a feeling big boy will retire at the end of this season.

I think the call of family an being able to play with his kids at his farm will to be strong. Especially after his neck injury scare this year.
I suspect you're right.

He will be missed on the field more than any other Hawk since Roughy, and Hodge and Mitchell before him.

What do you do about Chad and Imps across HF ??
