Re: List Management thread Mk II

Rischitelli, Knights or Salopek please

Would take all 3 in a heartbeat.

We should also be seriously sniffing around at WCE.

Can offer up any combo of the following:

Houli, Jetta, Reimers, Myers, Dyson, Lonergan, Atkinson

Re: List Management thread Mk II

Rischitelli r*ped us in the midfield, I want him so bad. Also Knights would be good. Salopek we wont get, he will stay at Port.

Re: List Management thread Mk II

Trade Reimers and Neagle for the Highest bidder.
Trade Dempsey to someone like North who need outside runners for one of there inside mids.

Re: List Management thread Mk II

Dempsey + Reimers + Dyson for Knights + second rounder

Prismall + Welsh for Salopek

dunno bout Rischitelli

surely your taking the piss if you think dempsey reimers and dyson would get knights + a second.

Reimers is rubbish, so is dyson..

Prismall should stay on the list.. Welsh delist

Re: List Management thread Mk II

There's going to be plenty of players desperately lucky come the start of 2011 to be on the Bombers list.

Based on output and displayed ability, we won't miss:

Jetta, Reimers, Atkinson, Myers, Daniher, Laycock, Bellchambers, Quinn, Crameri, NLM, Slattery, Welsh, Dyson, Houli, Neagle, Williams, Prismall.

There would be another six or seven names that could have gone in with them.

Any could be justifiably moved on without question.

A sad indightment on Adrien Dedoro, Merv Keane, Kevin Sheedy and Matthew Knights.

Re: List Management thread Mk II

Keep Dempsey.
Keep Jetta.
Keep Myers.

Whilst Salopek and Knights have some talent, both are very injury prone, so you wouldn't want to throw the kitchen sink at it.

I say grab Rischa in the PSD...

Re: List Management thread Mk II

Jetta, Myers and Dempsey I would rather keep. Also, somewhere deep inside me, I still love Reimers, but geez he's been shocking the past few years. Maybe it's time to let go.

"Dedoro" and Keane have brought us Hurley, Zaharakis, Pears, Hooker, Colyer, Melksham and Carlisle over the past three drafts.

Hurley, Zaharakis and Pears are our only guaranteed "players" and none of these guys have played a full year at a level capable of taking the club anywhere. Potential yes but let's see if they make it first.

Re: List Management thread Mk II

If we are serious about improving we need to get rid of most of the blokes on our list whose kicking skills are far below average. Players with below avergae disposal skill, in alphabetical order:

Atkinson
Bellchambers
Bock
Colyer
Crameri
Gumbleton
Hardingham
Hocking
Hooker
Lonergan
Prismall
Quinn
H Slattery
Stanton
Watson
Welsh

There are a few others who I am being kind to and could also be added to this list, such as Myers, j Williams, T Slattery, Jetta, and Zaharakis.

Some of these guys are really good players, but we can not afford to have such a higher percentage of our list having such poor kicking skills. No team would ever recruit so many players who were below average speed or height, I would have thought kicking skills were more important than either of these.

Re: List Management thread Mk II

We need to do all we can do get Rischitelli, we've got heaps of players to trade and based off last year Voss doesn't seem overly picky and should like the look of some of them if we throw in a draft pick aswell.

People seem to jump on Dodoro's back, in fact Keane is now the head recruiter whilst Dodoro is just the list manager...

Dunno what the difference is to be honest

Would prefer us to take a chance and try and recruit a gun with our draft picks, instead of getting a player who is good at best without being a star..

Don't watch much football?

Zaharakis lucky for your kindness? One of the best field kicks on our list IMO..

Re: List Management thread Mk II

Those touted we should keep:
Jetta, Myers, Dempsey (im just on his side).

Those touted i wouldnt be sad to see us keep:
Houli, Stanton, Neagle.

We need 2 different midfielders.
One to replace the loss of Lovett. The other McPhee.

Been to a few melbourne games this year and i really like Nathan Jones. Very hard at the contest, difficult to tackle and doesnt butcher it under pressure
Not much pace to speak of though. Seems to lose his spot to Moloney.
Dont know what we'd give the dees.
Hadley would be another good one for us. Someone to play alongside Watson and give him some support/protection. Have to wonder how safe his spot is if McLean is fit.

Not sure what speedsters are available.
