How can he say that when the ADRVP haven't even seen the case yet? What an idiot.
They would always get access to it before the ADVRP.

The players would get access to it normally in non pressence cases after the SCN stage but before the ADVRP. To they can defend the actual charge/allegation being made. SImular to a court case in a respect. You can't be blindsided with info/docs that are only released in court by surprise.

If the scns can be easily reissued and the evidence so conclusive, the question might be, why did ASADA bother to contest?

No brainer.

1. In the specific case, the evidence is under attack. You just sit back and let that happen and move directly to a fall back position? That kind of prosecutorial arrogance is the reason OJ Simpson walked free. You go in with the strongest case you can and you go in as hard as you can.

2. In a broader view it's not the key issue whether Essendon can be nailed despite a loss in court. Any ground ASADA lose in their ability to progress cases is lost pretty much forever.

Funnily enough, Essendon Football Club is not the centre of the known universe. Even if those who have circled the wagons and now look inwards feel like it is.

It is like watching a train wreck, you can't look away.
Though one feels sad for the supporters, to have their once stoic club behave like this is just plain sad.

The club appears to have no respect for the supporters or players.

Also, just a minor blip, are they allowed to comment as they have since the court appearances.Surely they can not try and influence one and all through the media with this continual dribble?

So you're the type to rationalise an argument with a South Park meme.
Ok
Drugs are bad mmkay
There ya go little one sleep well!.

I'm trying to make a bit of fun out of this mess, we need to relax more and take a more easy going approach to this whole thing otherwise it's all a bit frustrating to read through everyday.

Why do we all fight with each other? Essedon, ASADA, The AFL and the Government are treating is like muppets, What the **** is actually going on, Why is all the information these bodies release always so cryptic.

I'm sick of it.

Whately confirmed on Grandstand just now that Little told him he'd seen a 100 page document setting out ASADA's case.

Whately: During the discovery process Essendon was granted access to a 100 page document that Ben McDevitt has used to issue the show causes notices. Did you see that document?

Little: Yes

Whately: Did it lay out the case against the players? The specifics of how they came to reach their conclusion at ASADA?

Little: I think what it did do, it showed that the evidence is essentially circumstantial; and that is not to say that that wouldn't be enough for ASADA to prove their case, but to some extent we have felt at the club, and I think the greater football public have, that that would be more information forthcoming. Particularly attached to the show causes notices themselves. So that information wasn't there and, to a large extent, the case that ASADA have mounted is somewhat difficult for them to prove I would have thought given that it is a circumstantial case, but of course the court will determine that.

Whately: If I brought that back to Essendon's position rather than ASADA's position, do you believe on what you've seen the cases are defendable for the Essendon players?

Little: Oh absolutely. We're very confident in that regard.

Whately: Do you believe there is more evidence you haven't seen, or does that 100 page document give you a pretty good picture of what the allegations are?

Little: Well, I can't imagine ... again you are asking me for my views on ASADA's case ... but I can't imagine why they'd be holding anything back. With what we've seen we remain confident that we have a very good chance of getting our players, both current and past players, cleared.

This is hardly news. He's just repeating what we all know with an Essendon favoured slant.

Is it just me or is Little really dumb? Sounds like a real moron who has no idea what he's doing. The designer suit and millions of dollars don't make up for the fact that he made his career as a truck driver, effectively.

Essendon fans see him as a rich benefactor/saviour but it appears that his deluded sense of entitlement and self-worth is taking precedence over the footy club.

Watch him disasters as soon as the legal action turns pear shaped.
