the 'structure' doesn't stop our AFL standard forwards - Dixon, Gray or Fantasia from kicking goals. Maybe Marshall can try leading.
Great idea except our players generally ignore leads and if they actually try to hit up leads miss the kick by 10-20 metres or kick to the advantage of the opponent!

Listening to Kornes, Hayes and Rucci this morning and not one of them can see how much value Hayes has brought to the team in the past seven weeks. Idiots, just like Stinkley and Montgomery. I hold the latter very responsible for this stupidity too. I've never wanted to see an opposition player dominate us like I do for Nankervis tonight.

The first 10 minutes will tell us a lot about the attitude of the players - if we get blown out of the water early, maybe Ken's departure is sooner than we think.
You won't have to wait 10 minutes. Under Hinkley you can usually tell in the first 5 minutes if the boys are interested or have bought into the "it's a tough competition and someone has to lose" mantra from our genius coach.

This is the Marshall with 7 more goals this year than any other player on our list that you're talking about here, yes?

It's also the Marshall who actually kicks straight - unlike the likes of Georgiades and Finlayson.

Remember Pete Ladhams?

He used to play for us.

2 weeks ago he was playing for somebody else directly on Nankervis, giving up a fair bit in bulk and experience. Nank had 24 hitouts and 21 disposals. Ladhams had 26 hitouts and 19 disposals. Was a really good match up.

He usd to play for us. Then we gave him away. For basically nothing. Cool huh?

He was too naughty for Ken's Home For Boys Who Play Football Not Quite As Good As Others Do.

It's also the Marshall who actually......umm......leads.

The idea that "Just drop it on my head" Dixon leads and Marshall doesn't is quite funny.

Not confident at all tonight. Hayes a massive loss for our structure. Midfield need to be their absolute best tonight or we get smashed.

If I had a dollar for every time Dixon has provided an effective lead in the last 5 years I could afford a down payment on a lettuce.

it’s like a cult at this point. Hinkley could lose to North by 100 points and they’d find a way to justify it somehow.

Okay it’s just been said on SEN that Hayes will still play SANFL this week… go and get ducked campaigners.
Considering the games aren't on at the same time its perfectly reasonable that Hayes may be ok to play on Saturday, but on Thursday night he still isn't.

Plus the demands in an SANFL game are signficantly lower. When fit he's able to play through games at the SANFL level, but he can't at the AFL level.

Imagine if we'd drafted Martin: "Yeah, it's good for Dusty to look for opportunities in another environment and the pick we got for him will let us elevate McEntee onto the main list. We think this will play into our favour in the longer term."

Martin would have been delisted due to lack of opportunities as he couldn't get in front of the bog average 22 HBF being selected in the side.
