rumour has it, nathan reid from ammos hurt his knee playing basketball on the w/end and is look ing at a knee reco. with david mitchell gone, this could leave 2 very big holes in the ammos once potent forward line. travis robertson is by all reports is a pretty shattered man

Heard that St. Joeys Dean Stankovic is heading out to Leopold as an assistant coach to Aaron Greaves, also Joeys spoke with Peter Street tonight.

Portalington are searching for two or three decent players from the same club to join them next year, maybe Leopold or Grovedale.

Hi im a first time subscriber, long time viewer. Speaking of overated players Benjamin Harris would surely take the sponge and then some... Has this bloke ever played on anybody... U guessed it no, he will not like the close attention of the GFL Let alone his brother Adam who thrives on physical attention

Cant speak about his coaching skills, but hasn't b.harris got a hampden league b&f and spotswoods b&f in a flag winnning year.('06) find it hard to see how he can be overrated as a player

when do all sides start their pre-season training. bell park have apparently started, north shore were due to kick off last night and leopold has a session on sunday. will be interesting to see what sort of numbers clubs can attract this time of year. the gfl is almost on par now with the afl in terms of starting early, the standard has improved rapidly over last few years and with the constant influx of former afl and vfl players the standard can only get higher as the training and conditioning increase with it.

i remember playing a tagging role on ben harris against colac several years ago and he certainly had tickets on himself back then. if that is still the case lara is in for a long season, nothing worse than a bloke who thinks he is above and beyond everyone else.

they were at bell parks first training session tonight along with davenport who has been training there for a number of weeks with the under 18 kids coming up who wanted to get a head start...

mate its november, lot of blokes train at different clubs in the preseason i know both blokes pretty well and there's nothin set in concrete just yet.

maybe so commo, maybe so. but if you look at bens record,(hampden league best and fairest, 2wrfl flags, spotswood best and fairest, b.o.g in grand final, impressive for a 25 year old.) its obvious he knows how to succeed, maybe thats not such a bad thing for the boys at lara, who have been down in recent years.

Ben Harris is a gun, full stop. You'll see that once the season starts. Would be a lot better now than when you played on him Commo. I remember him playing for Colac and although he was good then, he's continually got better over the last 4-5 years. Hollmer would be a handy pick up if Lara get him as well. Any new faces at Windsor Park Tuesday night North Shore boys out there??

Big news out of the Geelong Amatuers camp. After the significant losses they are reportetly lining up a 4 bids for ex-ammos brothers Luke and Trent Buckland, VFL listed Ben Bosely who has two brothers at ammos, and Lorne assistant coach Casey Tully .

There is supposedly a large sums of cash being thrown around and all would be a great gets for the ammos boys and would surely deliver another flag down at queens park...

Thoughts??

saw at local watering hole, newly appointed newtown assistant coach matty bruhn, and a couple of players talking with former afl player nick daffy, would be to old to play you'd think, but maybe as some coaching role for newtown boys???
