What so being a soft ordinary afl player means gfl should be a walk in the park for the dud? Does the name steve handley ring any bells mate?? Possibly the worst ex afl to ever play in the gfl, plus he was soft as butter.

Kingsley is soft,wont need to worry about anything dirty as the gfl isn't known as a dirty comp but i cant see him wanting to put his body on the line.

Bit hard for a ship to sink when its been at the bottom of the ocean for 30 years wos. wasn't at this game as i decided to broaden my horizons and watch some local footy in melbourne. And you know i got slammed for giving pitch reports in the past even tho we both know i was spot on on that occasion

Anyone know what Scott Thompson did to Cameron Mooney when he was on the Cats VFL list that upset him so much or is Mooney just a tool.

He obviously doesn't like him as each time they have played against each other at AFL level Mooney has tried to harm him, subsequently landing him a week on this occassion.

Also a strong whisper down at Nth Shore is the imminate signing of former Roo and Hawk Nathan Thompson on a 3 match clearnance from his VFL side Werribee whilst recovering from his recent medical condition. It is understood the strong links between the club has this being pushed hard as Thomo wants to ease back into it through a lower league. Not sure how much truth is in this rumour but gee what a signing if this happens

Why does that make me look foolish? Basically said Kingsley is soft which is no big statement just a known fact and i am sure there would be a few guys wanting to give him a touch up at GFL level where you arent afforded the same protection as AFL level. Not sure what your problem is with that.

who have we brought. we got a new coach and 2 assistant coaches. hollmer has played 1 game 4 us. no idea mate

Yep i think i got it kosmos and you are right he probably set the club back a few years in the time he was there. Although he did give us all a good laugh in the outer one day when he got hypothermia against st joeys and cost us a spot in the finals. But i dont think he was as soft or overated as handley.

Mate you are the biggest goose to post on here since wiseoldman learnt how to use a computer Is lara the only side in the comp to buy players??? All them names you mentioned would've been payed at the clubs they were at previous to lara so really its just a ridiculous statement by you.

Come out and let everyone know who you support mate and then tell us that every bloke at that club plays for the love of the game and nothin else.

they both came 2 play gfl would not be on alot of money. harris and nance have both been playing good footy and danadi is out 4 the year and if u dont play u dont get payed.

So you know for a fact that these boys shopped themselves about kosmos? Also hard for teams to move to far up the ladder when they've been at the bottom for awhile and the clubs up the top end are hardly losing anyone and still recruiting quality players. I know west played finals last year and newtown played in a grand final a couple years ago but the last 5 years has basically been sth barwon st marys colac bell park and st joeys dominating.

What about Milky on KRock claiming that Belmont haven't paid Haami. Pretty big allegations and one "rumour" which should not have been mentioned.

Not only did he mention it on Saturday, he mentioned it again on Sunday when he gave the results. Not good Milky...

Thommo is good mates with billy nicholls but dont think there is much truth to that rumuour did hear austin mc crabb put in for coaching job at st albans next year

Mate, every club has brought in players who couldve got more or less money elsewhere. Name a club that hasnt. Ridiculous to single out one club. As for Lara, as somebody else has already stated, their 3 main recruits this year were Harris, Nance and Donati. Donati is out for the year, and Nance and Harris have been good by all reports. As for last years main recruits which from memory were Clark, Mountjoy and Hassett, Mountjoy is overseas, Hasset has been injured all season and Clark has been ok without being spectacular.

Its depth of local players which separates the top clubs from bottom. Same as in the AFL, Geelong's top 6 players might be just as good as say Carltons, but its the middle and bottom 6 that make the difference.

Enough talk of lara every year they get talked up and never deliver the players like hardiman, clarke and the like arent gfl footballers lets face it why dont they go out get one or two older stronger bodies in their midfield.... enough of them talk bout them next year when they hopefully pick up some smart experienced footballers.. the alfie the runners got a big mouth too he should be carefull who he mouths off too
