Rather ticked off supporter: (to interchange crew) Who is in charge of rotations!?
Interchange Crew: (in sync) "He is" (All points to someone else)

I was unable to go the game, but from what i heard, it was after the 1/4 time break, only three players bent back onto the bench, Miti runner noticed after a while but it was too late, as the Bridgie runner was already out to their captain.
Fair enough, Miti were in the wrong, but what a way to go out of the finals, lot of shattered blokes around the club at the moment.
As to who is to blame? The coach took full responsibility after the game, and was inconsolable after the game.

Fair effort from the mean machine yesterday in the senior game. Little bit of luck helped them in the reserves, but you'll take it.

Bridgey are showing that they are the side you don't want to face in this finals series and that goes for Pyramid Hill this week. Massive test for them on the wide open YCW ground. Could Bridgey be the fairytale?

I am not certain that Bridgey can be the fairytale but Pyramid could be the nightmare!! They have been a great side all year but given their recent record in finals there is cause for Bulldogs fans to be nervous. If they can get their good players playing well they will thrive on the wide open spaces at YCW and put Bridgey out of their misery. If not there could be some serious questions being asked at the Bulldogs.

Speaking of questions being asked I think a few should be put towards Mitiamo. Along with Newbridge probably the most disappointing club this year. Pre-season hype had them flag favorites only to be bundled out in straight sets after an inconsistant season.

Billy has done a lot of recruiting over the last 2 seasons, spending a reasonable amount of coin but failed to produce the results. Surely the committee wouldnt be overly pleased considering the investment they have put in over the last 2 years? Will Billy be coaching again next season? And if so will he have the same sort of budget to play with? Some interesting times ahead as I believe they could be facing a year or 2 like YC and Newbridge.

It was an even better win considering the conditions. Bridgey prefers to play in perfect conditions because it has some big marking targets down forward and clutton and wood who take dozens of grabs in the backline. The weather at Serp took these players out of the game to a large extent.

Could go either way this week. Bridgewater will have a full list to pick from with Symo coming back into the team.

Mate, I wouldn't call winning 2 finals in a row "misery", it's quite enjoyable actually.

Big call from the coaching panel if they put Symons straight back in the ones. He seems to love belting blokes (or is constantly unlucky if your from Bridgey i suppose) and the last thing they can afford is to play with 17 men for 15 minutes.

They are going to need a bit of luck this week to get past Pyramid, but realistically like last week Pyramid are playing with all the pressure.

yes, if you don't win under pressure, you don't deserve to be there.

Agree with your comment to some extent but the recruits this year haven't given him much either which was out of his control to some extent
Eve 3 games, injuries
Adam Campbell disappeared after 5 games.
L Mclean ditto.
Pascoe and Orton probably slightly disappointing but injured for 4 to 5 games each.
Mitchell not too bad.
J Mclean bad pick-up.
Saunders serviceable but in his late 30s couldn't expect much more.
Tom Grant OK
Couple of kids out of the 3rds helped out when required.

I reckon from the 9 or 10 games I watched this year that Mitis top 5 in the B&F will be players that have been there for longer than just this year.
Scott Lawry
Morrissey
Haythorpe
Hayes
Ross Smith

In a nutshell though a fairly disappointing outcome for 08.

.

It's no wonder Adam Campbell disappeared, Miti chased him to the club, then gave him very little game time.

:eek:pyramid had 2 big a spread of goalkickrs for bridgie 2day the mean machine relied 2 much on big axel and coach kurt in fact had just the 5 goalkickrs while the dogs had 8 snag roll kickrs dont know weather pyramid can beat calivil though they didnt look any wrld beaters

FYI Newbridge appointed a new senior coach this weekend, Bruce Hughes.

Is this correct? Only advertised last weekend. Couldnt have searched for long if that is the case...

Who is this guy and what are his credentials?

Will Lakey be back? Have heard Comer and Mildren are going.

Calivil will enjoy the Newbridge ground a lot more than Pyramid. Pyramid seem to have a lot of good running and slightly built players that need the wide open space. Calivil will keep it in close and tough and Pyramid will not be able to cope with that style of play.

Congrats to Lee "Franky" Franklin of Marong, a very deserving winner of the Harding Medal, polling 20 votes at the LVFL vote count at the Serpentine Hall last night.
One of the gutsiest blokes in the league, great clubman and a fantastic reward for perserverance after having a shocking couple of years with a serious wrist injury.
Aaron Demeo from Calivil on 18 votes had a fantastic finish to the year as Runner Up, has the chance this weekend to win the medal all footballers are chasing...of the premiership variety!

After watcjhing Saturdays game I doubt i can see the demons run being broken.

If the Pyrmaid big guns especially in the forward line can fire I think they might be a chance. Chilcott was pretty quiet and if he and company can fire I see this as the only way they will topple Calivil.
Bridgey were good and could have been a lot closer had they kicked straight.

Who is everyone tipping??

I agree, Bridgey missed some really easy goals from almost point blank range which can cost when it comes down to a 19 point margin at the end of the day.

It was a really bruising last quarter when Bridgey came hard at Pyramid. I can't see Pyramid beating Calivil next weekend.

Calivil by 30 points.
