UPDATE 1.03pm: POLICE have released sickening CCTV images of a cowardly attack on a brilliant young footballer at a fast food outlet.
The victim, Luke Adams, 19, was to line up for the Victorian under-19 team this Sunday.
Instead, he is in the Alfred Hospital with serious head wounds, his season over for the year but incredibly lucky to be alive.
The gentle champion with an unblemished sports career was knocked unconscious after being put in a deadly headlock and has multiple head fractures.
He is in the care of specialist ophthalmologists, neurosurgeons and facial reconstruction experts.
Gut-churning security footage of the appalling attack shows Luke being pulled into a headlock during which he loses consciousness before then being released to fall face-down on a stone floor with sickening force.
One of his mates is seen desperately trying to hold Luke's gaping head wound together to staunch the blood loss while the attackers continue to punch and kick on around him.
Luke's traumatised parents and Prahran police have slammed the unprovoked attack and warned those responsible they should turn themselves in.
The fracas flared at a Prahran Hungry Jacks - on the corner of Malvern Rd and Chapel St - before dawn on Monday.
Stonington Det Sen-Constable Scott D'Rozario had a succinct message for the three male attackers.
"Turn yourself in. There's no point. With footage like that, we want to speak to you. It's unacceptable society shouldn't put up with it. I want to arrest them and speak to them.''
The three men fled along Chapel Street, towards Toorak Rd.
The first offender is described as 20-30 years old, of medium build, with short black hair and a cleanly shaven face. He is believed to have been wearing a black T-shirt with a multi-coloured fluorescent logo on the chest and a small fluorescent logo on the rear with black pants and white and black shoes.
The second offender is described as 20-30 years old, Causcasian, of medium build, with a shaved head and cleanly shaven. He is believed to have been wearing a black short sleeved button-up collared shirt, black jeans and white shoes.
The third offender is 20-30 years old, Caucasian, of medium build, unshaven with a goatee and straight black hair. He is believed to have been wearing a white T-shirt with a red M logo on the front and the number 86 on the rear, dark pants and shoes and a dark beanie.
Anyone with information regarding the assault is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Dirty ****ing *****...this shit makes me angry. Hopefully they will be caught soon.
Best of luck to Luke.
