Davis is horribly inconsistent. A poor finals series this year and poor seasons before. Ball has been more consistent over the last five years and the only reason he was in and out of the side was because Lyon didn't like him.
Davis is also 3 years older than Ball.

If Leon goes it will be to WA, i don't think he would go to another Melbourne club.

O'Bree is nearly done and Lockyer doesn't play in the midfield at all.
Luke Ball would have won the Norm Smith against your mob if he had more time on the ground, he was bloody good in the first half.
Tenace and Wojak are great examples of how important speed is

Probably range between first to second.
As "proven" as he is, the Saints have treated him like crap all year.
As for people mentioning Davis wanting out, he is a required player and not for sale. Davis is very happy at Collingwood and in Melbourne. He could have gone home many times over the journey but he stayed and was rewarded this year with a new 2yr deal. The chances of him leaving are incredibly slim.

This is a brownlow medallist we are a talking about and is far and away the best overhead marking midfielder in the competition. Jimmy has more strings to his bow than Luke Ball ever will.
And he can kick over 40m on a good track!

We are picking up his future not his past. Ball is probably wanting out as he cant see himself as a permanent member of St K best 22. That where he is at now and there are big doubts on his body. I am not trying to knock him, v gutsy player but not sure how much he has left to offer. If you have better info I am all ears

He's finished as a footballer and his body can longer sustain the rigors of AFL. His kicking is very ordinary and it lacks any penetration.

Im not getting personal but O'Bree isnt up to AFL standards and i dont think Luke Ball is either. Its just another excuse to have Didak on the outside rather than the inside.

What a load of shit, you clearly haven't watched Davis for 3 years.
He had a poor finals series (he was injured FWIW), but we wouldn't have got a sniff at finals without him. People have short memories, the majority were proclaiming him as our number 1 player this year pre-finals, something I probably agreed with. A bad finish to the year and suddenly everyone reverts back to their old opinions.
There is no way I would give up Davis for Ball, absolutely none.
@Sloane Ranger - Yeah we'd phase out O'Bree I'd imagine. Lockyer is a forward flanker these days, I don't think he'd effect the equation much.
