You would be able to recognise that since you've seen it so many times.

I haven't seen Libba Snr celebrate a point like that since the 1997 Prelim Final.

That's so last millenium.

I wonder if Brendan McCartney will get any credit for the dogs success? #notroll

Someone else posted something similar on another thread. He does deserve some credit, he did set some building blocks in place and recruited well (with help) and instilled a desire for the contested side of the game which is still evident today. We wouldn't have our manic pressure, tackling and contested ball focus without him (well, perhaps we would have, but might have taken a while longer to get where we are).

But it's clear he wasn't the best tactician or communicator - and so all the good work was at risk of coming undone towards the end. I wasn't happy at the time of his departure, but the club has made the correct calls since then and we are benefitting from that. If he had stayed, the very list that we have now may not have still been intact.

It would be nice for him to get some form of acknowledgement from the club for his contribution if we are successful IMO.

Another product of the hawks Coaching Factory.

He started his coaching career as St. Bedes in the Ammos, and was player development manager at Collingwood in 2009 and 2010, before he arrived as Hawthorn.

It might be a good model though for clubs, such as Brisbane, looking for a new coach - someone with a low profile who has coached at a lower grade and filled a number of roles at different clubs.
