Honestly, even the most keen Jackson supporters are probably fine either way.
Was that person Garry Lyon?
Pretty sure it's Joao behind the scene's trying to will it to fruitionWas that person Garry Lyon?
Who said the same thing, that he 'felt' that there was a chance Jackson stayed?
Media quoting each other again.
I still want him haha but It'd be a lot less stress moderating the Freo board if he stays, the board is going to be all over him if he's not BoG in the first pre-season game...Snuffaluphagus praying Gerard Healy is right. I seriously doubt jackson stays but there is a handful of players in recent years who finished a season OOC, were in demand and decided to stay.

Also I'm sure that you want Fremantle to go deeper into September this year.I still want him haha but It'd be a lot less stress moderating the Freo board if he stays, the board is going to be all over him if he's not BoG in the first pre-season game...
I'd expect to lose our first this year and next regardless. Trade will get done if he asks for oneAlso I'm sure that you want Fremantle to go deeper into September this year.
Unfortunately the further you go in the finals the harder it will be to satisfy Melbourne's demands.
I can't imagine that Melbourne would entertain pick 16-17 this year (or higher depending on F/S and academy bids) for Jackson.
Even adding your first pick next year may not be good enough (should Melbourne anticipate you being close to top 4 again).
So approximately pick 15 and pick 35 next year for a 20-year-old former pick 3, rising star winner and premiership player? Yeah, nah.Trade will be Freo 1st rounder + future 2nd rounder with a 4th rounder back
or
Freo 1st rounder + whatever we get for Lobb with 4th rounder back
Trade will be Freo 1st rounder + future 2nd rounder with a 4th rounder back
or
Freo 1st rounder + whatever we get for Lobb with 4th rounder back
Watch out if WCE get a pick in the 20s for Rioli.
Two picks in the 20s should get the deal done.
Will have to agree to play in the WAFL for a few months first of course, oh and he can't expect to displace a gun like Williams straight away.
He is out of contract. Cerra went for 6 and future 3rd. Everyone knew 6 was becoming 8. So 8 and future 3rd, 14 and future 2nd is comparable. Don't see Freo overpaying here.So approximately pick 15 and pick 35 next year for a 20-year-old former pick 3, rising star winner and premiership player? Yeah, nah.
interesting with the Grundy to Melbourne heating up, surely cant have Maxy Jackson & Grundy

It's pretty clear. Trade value isn't an equation based on the contract offered OR the contract rejected. We have recently experienced that with Cerra, and it is reinforced almost every trade period. An uncontracted player is leaving and each club does the best they can.so if we offered him 800k we don't rate him? I don't get what you're saying tbh
No one on here has any idea but I think Fremantle would pay up this year's and next years 1st rounders.People probably need to back off Jackson for last night's game, it wasn't a match that suited the talls (exceptional game from May aside).
Jackson is a pure ruck, is only 20 years old and has had multiple great games this season as well, but only when Gawn is out of the side.
He isn't a forward ruck, his a ruck who can occasionally help forward and will probably be one of if not they premier ruck in the least in a few years.
Issue is, his worth A LOT more to the Dee's than Fremantle, his an early first round pick that has shown obvious development so would be worth two first round selections. But Fremantle have Darcy so he isn't worth that to them.
Its better for both clubs if he deals with WCE or stays at Melbourne.
I’d say the Dees are fairly certain Jackson is going and probably gave Grundy no assurances. If Jackson stays no doubt the Grundy trade would be off. Also Dees would be wanting Pies to cough up a fair chunk of the contract so but of water to pass under the bridge.interesting with the Grundy to Melbourne heating up, surely cant have Maxy Jackson & Grundy
