Not really, the poll was started at the start of last year, before Dangerfield broke out and became a top 10 player in the competition, and Shuey was ahead at that point.

having a good old laugh reading this. Even in 2012 i would have chosen Dangerfield. Shuey in 2011 looked like he had everything to become a top 5 mid of the comp and to me he hasnt lived up to it. However, i think Shuey is one of those players that would look much better in a side with a very good midfield. he gets the attention most weeks for us cause he is the only dynamic mid we have. If only we picked dangerfield instead of masten. Shuey and dangerfield at the feet of Naitanui would have been awesome to watch.

Its not a knock on Shuey. Dangerfield is just the best player in the game right now. I dobt have any other mid near him this year.

Dangerfield, Hannebery, Mitchell, Neale, Sloane, Gibbs, Curnow, Coniglio, Parker, Scully are all mids who have been better than Shuey this year, just off the top of my head.
