Ran into a miti person they said Qld boys have signed in drake and L'anson the other two boys from Qld won't be there tolongs is staying said they were still in talks with Thomas big hole to fill if he leaves

Sidebottom will replace Thomas but they would be quite a potent force if they could have them in the side together

Miti will obviously put a decent side on the park and Bridgey will be Bridgey...is anyone else making recruiting in roads. Not hearing anything out of Newbridge or YCW or even Inglewood.

They spent $185k last year, Gaddo has said he wants to slash $100k off that. Has told the club it's a rebuilding faze and a few year project. Confirmed they have lost 16 senior players. Be hard to recruit with a 45 point cap. Expect to see Gordon Addlem through the midfield adding to his 873 game career

Rick played at Marcorna last year and only went ok from what I heard. He was also appointed Coach at Marcorna this year before pulling the pin on it. I would have thought he might have been more likely to play at Mitiamo given he is or was working for Harry Maddern's construction company and is mates with Andy Grant who is Asst Coach out there. Interesting!

Marong look to have punted on some old blokes. Hopefully they can still play good footy they should improve with a couple of finals teams from last year dropping off but might need to land a couple more players in their prime to push for the flag. Thoughts Claude?

The LV is definitely at the level you can play into your mid 30s if you are talented enough and keep in reasonable shape. Concerning for Marong is Gitchos head knocks.. One more could end his year. Also the time between league medals suggest these blokes were in their prime some time ago.. Don't think they've done enough to talk granny this year but should def improve as others look stagnant

Surely Miti would be packed to the brim points wise without Ladson getting on board.. All Bridgys locals and existing players returning should have them with breathing room

They will be a fairly hard and competitive unit under locky that's for sure as thats they way his teams have always played their footy and he is one hell of a good coach that gets his message across quite well and works really well with the younger blokes as well so a good appointment by the panthers.

If Gitsham is even half fit I would be putting some money on him for the leauge medal the bloke is an absolute freak (even if he is getting on a bit on the field) and Milwards not half bad either and if locky pulls on the boots it could make a great midfield for marong even though all those bloke would be in the mid 30's the all will be quite handy in the LVFL

Still my pick would be bridgy for the flag :mad:

Yeah super points. Locky will really be keen for a solid year after being overlooked at Ehawk.
Gitcho will need to be his freakish best when you look at what the mid 30 brigade will be against. Bridgys ruck stocks aren't strong but with the likes of Broadbent, Collins, East, Pollock ect going through the midfield or even Miti with 2 genuine ruckmen and Thomas, Sidebottom, McKean, Reeves..Think the Panthers would have loved Morris to stay on board

So your thinking Bridgey and Miti will play off again with Marong to run in behind them? Can Newbridge make a big improvement if they have a good run with injury which Matty Dillon said crippled last Season for them?

Not sure punted is the right word given the records of the players you are speaking about. We needed to add experience to compliment our young blokes and that is why these guys are on board. Lance Brown is one of the 2 best footballers I have ever played along side

Those two certainly look to be in the top four but that's from the outside looking in. Most clubs would be 4-5 weeks away from first hit out so you would assume all the major moves have been made and we just aren't hearing a lot from other clubs..

How is Brown moving now? Assuming his prime was '02-'08 with medals in between, how have the past 8-10 years treated him?
 
Inglewood appears to have grabbed a couple of new faces. Wouldn't expect a rapid rise but should be more competitive.

Sea lake local said he is a great club person and bloke but his best footy is past him.
