Lmaoooooooooo

So we have 7 list spots now. I STG if we trade one of our early picks into next year...
This had to be signed off on by Nicks, though unfortunately I get the feel he's the main driver behind this stupid decision.

The worst thing about this is that he takes up a precious list spot..

So even if we are to stupidly beleive the Mookay apologists yet again that david wont play in the AFL unless its as a last option..

What young player are now going to not be able to grab because we have david clogging up that list spot??..

Phenix Spicer?... or Newchurch?... or something similar?..

Its sheer lunacy.

All so david “i play the skinflute very well” mookay gets to go around again..

All jokes aside, was that Mackay's best year for the crows?

If we had ZERO half back/wing players this wouldn't be the worst decision ever. However, we now have Hamil, Sholl and McPherson who are ready for a full season with Smith+Seed+Brown still on the list and Milera to come back in. We are the most stocked half back/medium defender team in the comp.

That is really disappointing and a strike against Nicks I'm afraid.

Seems there was no serious interest in the other 3 lads on the trade table. Not really comfortable with the Gallucci decision either but reading between the lines there has to be an under story to the decision given Godden's message earlier in the year.

You've been pretty erratic the last few weeks, Bicks. This is not a good take.

Not sure how this one is on Nicks at all.

Galluci was showing all the tell-tale signs of being a bust BEFORE his injury. Crocker and Poholke no good either.

Crows have already stated that with the reduction in coaching staff that experienced players would become a commodity in having dual roles, especially in a rebuilding side with so many youngsters coming through.

Mackay is well-liked in the playing group, apparently has elite standards, and had more of a solid year this year than most of our other supposedly 'elite' players.

What kind of message does that send other players? If we want to follow Richmond's example then we need to start building up 'role players'. This builds a message within the club that says 'you might not be the next Dangerfield, but if you play a role, and you bring effort every game then you will be rewarded'

It also sends the message that even if you're a former Pick 15, if you're not willing to put in the effort then it's to your own detriment, and you might be out the door.

Love this decision by the club.

2009 was his best season by a mile. Looked like he could have been anything that year

Of course he was involved, he was the bloody idiot that kept picking him this year when we were meant to be rebuilding/getting games into our future.

FMD these buffoons just keep going. Who said we were learning from our mistakes for not giving Crouch a 4+1 deal, this decision clearly indicates we have learnt jack shit.
