Leon Davis, Michael Doughty, Daniel Giansiracusa, Shaun McManus, Leigh Brown
What absolute tripe, Giansiricusa, Leon Davis and Leigh Brown were stratospheres above Mackay performance wise....Davis in particular was one of the most damaging forwards of his era.

Moving on Brad and keeping a well respected player at the club on for minimum wage on a one year contract are very different list management decisions
Agreed, but if we’re under salary cap pressure at the moment then we’re doing it very very wrong...

Oh f**k off, they’ve gone and bloody went and made a f*****g video

this club 🤦🏻‍♂️🤢

I like the clip starting at 1:48 when he marks a hack kick from defence on the 50.

"He can have a shot from here Mackay!"

No he certainly cannot! And the clip cuts straight to the next highlight.

Poholke and Crocker delistings were obvious.

Dmac I can see the merit in, but if it was a choice between he and Galluci I would have thought you go the younger player. Seems simple. This is coming from a definite non-fan of Galluci by the way.

Sure, it's a fair analysis in some respects, but I can see a reason to go either way. I certainly don't see the outcome as being SO UNBALANCED as to cause some of the melts we're seeing on here, from grown men and women (are there any women here?). A sad indictment on so called 'supporters'

Roo mention previously that we are pretty much maxed out.

Bottom of the table, losing players left right and centre and a maxed out salary cap. Impressive.

Oh absolutely, we need some experience in the ranks. For where our list is at, Mackay offers some value through helping to set high training and fitness standards, along with some leadership on an off field.

I’m not a Galluci fan, but I don’t think cutting losses at this point is the right move. If it were me I’d be going one more year, perhaps on the rookie list.

So if it were my call I’d go one year for each of them. However this is with zero thought as to who drops off the list as a result.

I'm convinced David Mackay stole some of your wives or girlfriends. The melts are comical and ridiculous.

Some people are acting like we just re-signed him over Dustin Martin. Poholke is not AFL standard he's too slow in his thinking. Gallucci... put him on the rookie list because of his injury if you love him so much but we're talking about a guy who pre-injury couldn't even make the emergencies for a Marsh Cup game. As for Crocker... no one seems to be mentioning him so that speaks for itself

LONG LIVE MACKAY!

He's in the conversation

Being an All Australian immediately removes you from any conversation of worst 200 game player. He has an industry-recognized accolade

Leon Davis - 2x All Australian
Michael Doughty - at least 4 top 10 finishes and two top 5 at the Adelaide B&F (versus 1 for Mackay)
Daniel Giansiracusa - club leading goal kicker, twice
Shaun McManus - 42 Brownlow votes vs 1
Leigh Brown - more Brownlow votes as a key position player
Ryan Houlihan - at least 3 top 10 finishes at the B&F
Adam McPhee - All Australian
Heath Scotland - won a B&F
Jason Blake - at least 3 top 10 finishes at the B&F
Brent Reilly - at least 2 B&F top 10 finishes

What a fu**in joke...

Why keep mookay and dump gooch and poke?

Dump all three but if youre gonna keep 1 why not keep 1 of the younger players.

This club hasnt changed at all.

Couldn't have said it better. I've seen the question asked a million times but never truly answered, wtf does Mackay offer that a kid doesn't?

Poholke played some decent games when he was picked and even provided a handy forward targer and managed to hit the scoreboard.

Gooch, yeah he's had his chances. But in his make or break year Covid hits and he is out all year with an injury.

They may not offer a lot, but **** me surely getting some games into someone that might have a penny drop moment is better than another ****ing year for Dmac who trots out the same ineffective rubbish year after year. Must fill the kids at the club with a lot of confidence.

Has dmac really only finished in the top 10 of the bnf once?

Leon Davis, Michael Doughty, Daniel Giansiracusa, Shaun McManus, Leigh Brown
Michael Doughty was a very underrated player. Always the pressure release valve when a team mate was under the pump.

I will say this about Mackay though - he was pretty much our only older player who wasn't a complete witches' hat this year. Sloane, Gibbs, Walker, Smith, Lynch and Talia (by the end of the season) all looked unfit and not up for the fight in comparison.

Shane Parker even managed 3 top 3 B&F finishes for Freo and he’d have to be up there for worst to reach 200 games

Was one of my favourites. I was just trying to suggest people for a conversation about worst 200 gamers. Would no have dogga in it personally.he played some really good games under Neil Craig.

Maybe the club is just protecting the young players. And not from the big bodies of the AFL, but from taking the mantle of AFC whipping boy status for at least 1 more season!

Kelly, Dmac you lost a lot of comrades lately (JJ, Atkins, Gibbs, Hartigan), its now all on you 2!

The club has publicly stated the importance of keeping some experienced players on the list going into next year.
****in hell, you really have drunk the mookay “koolaid” milk havent ya...

If the club wanted to keep some experience on to help develop the younger lads in the SANFL and only play AFL in a break glass last option then they shouldve kept Crocker, Wilson or Poholke instead..

Poholke and Wilson, in particular, absolutey dominated in the SANFL in 2019. With help from Andy Otten, those two led our sanfl team in 2019.

The last thing I want our youth to be looking up to and getting their ideas from is mookay... the bloke is hot garbage.

Shit... I Would rather they had held Bryce Gibbs to the last year of his contract and made him the SANFL captain than give it to Mookay.
