Ahh fumbles. I had one game where i INT'd ran down the field fumbled but it went OB. Very next play RB runs and fubles, luckily i recover. Next play i pass, catches gets tackled and fumbles they recover. The game really, really wanted me to turn that thing over. Three blooming fumbles in a row.

I have no idea when it comes to formations. I just take a look at where the players are and figuere if that will be any good for what type of play i'm looking at defending against.


ATM i am playing superstar. Manged to get my rookie QB to take the Texans to a SB win.
South paw with some decent strength.

One of the funniest things I've seen is my 8yo made his own quarterback, named him after me and he's 6'5" and 200kg :eek::D. He figured if he made him that big he couldn't be sacked. He's going through all the training now so he can get a starting position.

I playing franchise mode at the moment. Playing on All-Pro.
I'm in my 3rd season as the Cardinals and am sitting pretty at 14-0-1 with a game to play before playoffs.
I have had an interesting time of it so far. My first season i kinda sucked as my O-Line was horrible and my backs were both slow (Edge / Hightower) and my QB was a 87 ranking so made it tough. Got knocked out in the wildcard round.
2nd season i got Leinart sorted out and worked out which plays to use to beat the defense. Traded for a quicker back in Slaton which made no difference as i had your normal Cards running game rushing for like 500 yards for the season. Anyway on the back of Leinart, Fitz, Q and Vernon Davis i passed my way to a Super Bowl win.

Third season now and i traded heavily because i wanted to be able to run the ball. Ended up with Petersen, Matt Birk and Chris Snee, with 1 game to go Petersen has over 2000 yards and 18 TD's as well as over 600 recieving yards.
To make it even better i'm finally getting some turnovers, my DB's are awesome. Wilson, Rolle, DRC and Trufant and at LB i have Willis, Dansby and Suggs. Thats an awesome D.
My entire starting list of DB's is in the Pro Bowl and have over 5 picks each with Rolle leading DPOTY with 9 picks.

I have spent this season just learning how to run the ball so when i go up to All Madden its not so difficult.

lol. Love it. I had 1 game as the patriots Brady threw an interception. On the return Brady tackles forces a fumble. My created player (center Peter Griffen) recovers it. Later on the drive another interception. This time Griffen forces the fumble and Maroney recovers, unfortunately from 3 and goal at the 2 I fumble it. They bloody recover for a touchback.

I was just playing. With a created team (09 NFC pro bowl team) in franchise against the Browns. Peppers Int return 41 yards for a TD. 1 of 2 interception returns (Ware got the other one) from 7 interceptions.

So far I have a 5-0 season. but Peppers has 2 INT. First 2 times I have seen a DLineman intercept in Madden. Peppers has 5 sacks after 5 games. So he should get DPOY with 5 sacks 2 interceptions 1 forced fumble 2 fumble recovers and 2 touchdowns after 5 games.

I was just thinking back on some of my simulated games.

2010 Detroit Lions. 9-7 superbowl victory.

But that isnt the strange thing. Detroit Lions 9-7 1st seed

I couldnt beleive it 4 9-6 teams lost in the last week.

And in the last game to go from needing to win and rely on the Bears and Packers to lose to win the division. I wasnt even taking notice of the Conferance standings. And after winning 5 straight games at the end of the season from 4-7 I comeback to be 9-7 and a 1st seed.

How do you get to the QB so much Riggy?
I have problems pressuring the QB at all. The only way i get sacks is if i blitz with my LB's or blitz a CB which has to be DRC because knowone else has the speed to get there and he only gets there when i'm playing a nickel or dime package.
I just cant get to the QB with my D-Line. Of course my D-Line isnt the most highly rated of all time as i have Calais Campbell, Dockett, Watson and Smith.
The rest of my D is awesome except for up front.

IN superstar. After creating a QB and being drafted to yes Dallas. I had a season where I started 8-0 Struggled to get there with half my O-L out and my #2 WR. then My #1 WR goes down. Now I struggle to a 8-7 once 1 OLineman and my WR comes back and I rebound to win the superbowl from 9-7

ps. 1st super bowl win (vs NYJ) since my first season.

in this period of 10 years I lost 7 superbowls including 1 to the texans with a 16-0 record.

Just get so many Interceptions that the QB waits and waits and then you get the sack.

But I always go with a 4-3 and with the number 1 DT just go on a slight angle across. If a screen or Pitch the RG will move out of the way to protect the RB. This can give a few sacks a game, but mainly stop the run completely and force him to throw.

Rarely play man on man, and have cover 2s reguarly. But try and protect 1 side of the field on that Purple coloured zone. (x-left stick left)(ps3 controls)

I dont understand what your problem with any D-Line is. Rolle, Wilson, Dansby and Rodgers-Cromatie should be dominating elsewhere in the field which allows your DLine to get sacks.

But with the Cards play a 3-4 with Dansby playing the yellow zone. If I dont get 4 interceptions a game im anoyed. But Dont pressure with a DE. Go as a DT and take away an OLineman so your DE is 1o1. And allow one of the OLB to come around behind him.

My team is always inconsistent Defensively. Ive said it before 1 game Ill get 5 sacks the next week ill dominate but only get pressure without ints or sacks and the next I get 7interceptions.

I think I didnt make myself clear, but I dont want to edit at the moment

Plus i have Patrick Willis, Terrel Suggs, Marcus Trufant on my defense but still cant get to the QB.

I very rarely have teams score double figures against me unless i whiff on a tackle and they hit a big pass.
The only time i have trouble stopping the offense is when they go into a no-huddle offense and then i just cant stop em without getting a pick.

No huddle suprisenly this is the most common time for me to get a sack.

yesterday

they go 1-10
2-18
3-25 and somehow still get a 1st down.

Teams usually get double figures against me but almost never does a team get 20 unless Im toying with them. and go for punts on 1st down so they can get back in the game. Just for me too blow them out at the last minute.

I did this with the Raiders once. Almost backfired with Russel throwing a INT-TD with just over a minute to go in the game to allow the opposition to go up by 7.

Next drive he leads the team 67 yards for a TD. and a 2 point conversion.

I have the exact same thing. They don't score much, but there aren't many turnovers.
I was suprised to see how successful your run game is. I cannot run to save myself, even with a good oline. I play on all-madden and can't get more than like 40 yards a game if i'm lucky. I tried it on all-pro and was barely any better. Thing is I generally throw for about 4 or 5 TD's a game on all-madden but it gets a bit boring. The only run yards I really get is QB rushing (I use Young) and that's about 500-600 a season, but he passes for 50+ TD's every year. Anyone else having this problem?

From reading Riggy's posts he is a young Sith Knight to be sure in the making. Working out about creating 1-on-1 situations in the DL that enable more sacks. More stunts and angles taken with the DT that then confuse and break down the pass protection schemes of the CPU or AI-controlled OL players.

Its alot harder with the Lions. I've just started 3-3 (0-3 in the division)

Only getting 2 sacks a game. But am getting 3 interceptions a game.

But the last two games have been terrible (@ Vikings, @ Texans)

In the first game I started 1/9 4int. and down 22-0 I comeback in the last 1 and a half minutes to 15-29.

next game I start 1-11 but avoided TO's this time. won it 32-24 (i intercepted and returned a interception 77 yards on the last play)

Oh By the way my QB is Brady Quinn, after trading Culpepper and my 2nd rd draft pick for Quinn and a 3rd and 4th rd draft picks.

Everything defensively for the lions suck, except Sims. some how on 1 drive i get two sacks and on 3-20 they get a 25 yard pass.

Against the Texans I kept them too not much in the air. (50% comp% and no TD's) But Slaton destroyed me. Take away his best 4 runs and he wouldnt of gotten much, but a 31,43,61 and 93 yard runs really destroyed me. Shit thats 228/234.

Anoying, this passing, after game 1, I beat the Falcons 31-0 with 23/26 in the air for 218yards 2/1

All-Madden is a decent challenge. But I also rose the likely hood of penalties. I was getting tired with on average 2 penalties every 3 games. 1 would be holding the other would be Personal foul. Facemask.

after two games I have lost both, But twice, 1 to Boldin and 1 to Breaston A 71 and 93 yard TD, has been called back for a holding penalty.

OK. Ive just gone through an entire simmed season:eek:. I played as the Cards, all out pass:D but I wanted to have a head to head battle for who is the best.

I just did something I've never seen before i Madden. Actually catching it in triple coverage.

I had Fitzy running a skinny post 42 yards away from the endzone.

After my trade in the preseason, I got Quinn and the Browns' 92 rating RG. I got great pass protection.

While this is happening both Safeties are in the dark blue zone coverage. and the cb on m-o-m.

straight away 1 safety comes down and helps out the CB thinking its a post. Than Fitzy cuts towards the post.

The other safety is covering Boldin over the top just incase he diverts from the in route.

Quinn bombs it out. The free Safety falss back to help out the Strong Safety and #1 CB. In the back 1 yard of the endzone. Fitzy somewho beats all 3 and gets the TD. (in replay the pass should of been incomplete)

Talking about f*cked up umping. I was 3-16 22 away from the endzone.

No huddle offense (5WR). I hit Breaston for a 19 yard gain, but guess what happens. A bloody botth reveiw. Even though he caught it about 2-3 feet off of the ground. It is somehow called incomplete.

If that was at Uni of Ariz Stadium instead of FedExFeild. That would of caused a riot with suck pathetic refing.

Oh, you get that sometimes. I had a guy catch the ball OB, i challenged because it look liked the called it good, the game said the opp had challenged for the catch to be good (apparently the ruling was that it wasn't). the result stood on the field, which at this point i'm thinking is caught OB, yet they were 2 & 6 on the next play. Effing confusing.
