Here is what an Essendon and a Fremantle team would look like.

B: Polak Fletcher M.Johnson
HB: Woods Lucas Ramanauskas
C: Hasleby Pavlich Solomon
HF: Hird J.Longmuir Medhurst
F: Cupido Lloyd Farmer
R: Simmonds J.Johnson Bell
I: Carr Hille Headland Wellman
E: McPhee McVeigh Hayden

Melbourne and Hawthorn could have had the likes of Dunstall, Lyon, Schwartz, Salmon, Stynes, Crawford, Viney, etc...

Imagine that.

But then again, the merger would have been bad.

Don't even joke about it Sharks.

Bad memories.

Pike could replace one of the Scotts.

Keating is only good in one game per year, albeit a very important one.

Not bad Porthos but why is Francou on the pine? You'd rather have Carr in the middle and James in the pocket? You see them more than I do but i'd rather have Francou as rover and either Carr or James on the bench (or in the 2's but I don't want argue about Port v Collingwood players).

How about Burns in the back pocket where he has played a lot of footy and Francou on the ball? Now that we have this super team and we have a few good forawds can I get Tarrant on a wing? Either side but right side suits his left foot best. BTW glad "we've" got Pimus in the ruck ahead of Brogan.

Well you know, you'd want to ease him back into things after that kind of knee injury.

James is bloody good in the pocket, and I'd assume we'd be playing a tagger.

Port Adelaide - Colliingwood Magpies V2

HB....Lonie........D. Wakelin.....J. Cloke

I brought in Thurstans as probably the best available versatile young tall, though Walker could challenge. Licuria in for Montgomery for a more balanced bench.

West Coast-Fremantle

HB: Woods McPharlin Carr
C: Judd Pavlich Embley
HF: Haselby Polak Fletcher
F: Matera McDougall Medhurst
Ruck: Gardiner Cousins Bell

Interchange: Any of about 15 guys so i wont pick em

I was going to comment on Lica but In left it alone. He's a certainty IMO. Trust me the 2002 QF was not a fluke and nor were 2 Copelands. Forget Walker for another year. He isn't ready. I expect Cam Cloke to have more impact this year but I'll go with Thurstans from not much competition from either side at present.

How 'bout that Ebert kid, when we gonna blood him?

Even split or 9 & 9 in the 18 and 2 & 2 on the bench:
I always wanted this centre line and now I've got the forards to do it and the wing options to change them if it doesn't always work. Something a bit unconventional to make the matchups hard and provide Kickout options.

You have a very good point there, he would.

I'd argue that Pickett in the forward pocket is wasting his best skills....and he's not as good a kick from the pocket as James.

Apart from that its all looking pretty good. And yes, I forgot Licuria originally :) I'm not much of a wrap for Clement, but I guess that is more of a playmaker backline you've named.

Ebert will have to wait on injury, I reckon. He'll have trouble waiting for poor form unless Lonie slips up.

Looking at the other teams named, once we're top, top, top the premiership should be a cakewalk.

Williams? Hall? Ball? Kirk?

Ball to injury prone, Don't need a tagger so that eliminated Kirk, Williams and Hall would have been traded by the time that side was made (Sal Cap).
