I thought if everyone updated their own picks in a central sheet as they go, it would make things much easier to collate.

Ideally you could embed it into this thread so you can update it directly through BigFooty, but alas I do not know how. Failing that, you can simply click on the link.

I have also added in a 'player check' cell. You type in player name (first initial, space, surname) and it tells you whether the player has been picked yet. So far it's easy to track manually, but it will be very difficult once we are in the late rounds. This little feature should help. For the record, O McDonald has not been selected yet. Just thought I'd point that out...

Cripps, Charlie and TDK are among the best players in the comp. But I can almost guarantee no other club board would select all three in their top 9 picks.

Mine is more strategy based, rather than a perceived "pick best player at every pick"

Unlike a draft, we have known quality and limits of every area on the park

I didn't flinch for a nanosecond when Cripps was picked at #1. But there are genuinely non-Carlton supporters who don't think he is in the comp's best 10 mids...

Whilst those people are clearly idiots , a Brisbane supporter might say Lachie Neale is the best mid in the game whereas I wouldn't be surprised if some neutrals had him outside their top 10.

I don't think Carlton players are better because they play for Carlton. But I do watch them 10x more than other players. It impacts how I think. It's an unconscious bias. We all have it. No matter how hard we try.

I didn't mean to start up an argument as this thread will get very messy, very quickly. But we have stalled at pick 10 out of 414, so might as well generate some kind of action in here.

We cannot possibly get through 414 picks with massive gaps between picks. We should pick an optimal time, or perhaps waking hours only, posters who don’t meet their turn forfeit, can “chime in” for pick or picks when they eventually log in. May not get favoured choice, but if rejoin in a day or two, should have vaguely similar class available.
