He'd be a good selection too. We could do that as an exercise, but not for the actual judging, which I suspect there will be no clear cut winner for. Can't let injury and suspension decide it.

Agree, I think everyone is bringing their own interpretation to the way they're selecting their side which makes it more fun.

SuperCoach scores will be ok for some players but for instance KPDs don't get much love from it

True - but we’ll all have KPP’s - so we select our best (available)23 rather than best SC team.

I can only assume we're all drafting a team that we think would have the strongest chance of winning in 2025... i.e. if all of our teams played each other over 24 rounds at full strength and avoiding injury...

To add interest an idea could be to see how many of our players feature in the 2025 all Australian squad of 40 & the final 23...

Throwing it out there... 10 points for a player being in the final all Australian team... 5 pts if your player makes the squad of 40... perhaps 20 pts for winning their club b&f, 10 pts for 2nd, 5 pts for 3rd...

I was genuinely tossing up between six players that play a variety of positions for this pick. Got it down to two and it was a genuine 50/50. Have opted for the player that I think will stamp themselves as a top-10/15 talent in the AFL and can play significant roles in both the midfield and forward line.

So with my 2nd pick I will take... Izak Rankine from the Adelaide Crows.

Yeah, I think a vote at the end of the season or something of the sort might be better. If it's off supercoach than realistically we would just be picking 23 of the biggest stat padders going around. Much rather the idea of an actual best 23 type team.
