I've been working in international business for nearly 25 years, regularly deal with C suite and board members of many large multi national companies. I reckon I have some idea what I'm talking about when it comes to execs and leadership.

It was only a small snapshot, but Malcolm came across as a strong leader, while Peggy came across as bit of a cheerleader.
Far be it for me to be critical in any way of the Richmond board, but Malcolm Speed was mooted as the next president after Gary March. If he was the best person for the job he'd be president. Peggy has been a great leader in her own way. I've always thought the president should be representative of the board, not THE board. Look at Collingwood for that.

Isn't a President of a sports club a unique Chair position since it's more directly involved in operations and promotion doing things like making addresses at functions and conversing to the media, compared to most Chairs who are genuinely independent?

Therefore Peggy is basically part of the Executive within Operations so she does have to be more relationship conscious compared to Malcolm Speed who is genuinely an independent director and should be enquiring and stress testing as he does.

Agree on Sloane .... came across as the teachers pet..

The nicks scene with crouch was cringe worthy?
Who sits behind someone and literally bags them out behind their backs.
Wouldn't be surprised if that was clever editing and the statement that look directed at Crouch was to the whole group, but I understand what you mean.

Episode 7 is by far and away the best. First 6 episodes are a relative bore. Obviously from a Richmond perspective, but also because in episode 7 there seemed to be a natural conclusion one way or the other.

Of all the human elements highlighted throughout the series, I thought Chris Scott's grace to enter the Richmond coaches box and congratulate Dimma after Jack's goal sealed the GF was the most poignant from a football sense. Respect, Chris Scott.

I hate every club except Port it's nothing to do with it, Sloane is not an impressive leader.
Well judging by this thread and social media you’re in a very small minority with that opinion. Heck, it even turned around the opinion of some of the most pessimistic posters on our club board.

I thought it was pretty obviously directed at the whole group. They start by highlighting 7 players not doing the right things defensively, Crouch just happens to speak up or was the only one to say anything interesting enough for a doco.

Is it just me or is it very weird Naitanui sleeps on the floor?
Weirder that he swears like a trooper and says he’s going to “kill that kid” and then the next episode he’s a devout Christian. 😂

It's actually quite common in SE Asia and wouldn't be surprised if it was the same for lots of Pacific Islanders as well.
backpackers too...just roll out a thin mat and that's it...it's been soooo long that I don't remember now...but definitely when you get back to home after a long trip backpacking, sleeping on a real bed again was just damn weird!!!

A lot of stuff he says seems fine. It just feels the way he ends any harsh stuff there is a loss in connection with some players based on poor choice of words.
But only a perception I may have and maybe players get feedback they need. Guess time will tell in 2021. Jeremy Cameron, Zac Williams and Jye Caldwell all gone and wonder how many of the three of them , just felt they wanted a change of coach to get best out of themselves.

The problem is it feels all one way, not a discussion, no communication. Of course that could be the way it's been edited but you didn't see that with Nicks as much for example.

I'm blown away by the close quarters contests and the sounds, i mean how did they record the sounds of the players talking sh*t out there...(no full house helped...but still amazing)

I bloody wish they recorded Katniss Everdeen trashtalking Tom Lynch !!!

The players in question (Betts, NicNat, Sloane) were mic'd up I think. Wish there was more of it similar to NFL Films. The director I think it was did a half hour chat with the guys on Junktime AFL podcast this week, worth a listen .

Watched two episodes, won’t watch anymore. Absolute bore fest.

I agree first episode was boring, I thought it picked up from the 2nd episode where it focused more on footy and less on covid but if you were still unimpressed by end of 2nd episode it's probably not for you.

I wonder if it would be better if they just focused on one club for the whole season like the All or Nothing series. That way you get more interaction between the personalities within clubs, this one had to jump around because of the 5 different subjects involved so could never really get into the details with any of them.

The conversation in the first episode between Leon Camerson and Coniglio was sad, perfunctory, cliché, void of any meaning or authenticity.

If they did it just for the cameras - shame on their club

If that was them, at their best and most earnest - no wonder GWS aren't where they should be.

Anyone else think nicnat came across as a bit of a dick?
while i wouldn't go as far as saying he was a bit of a dick...i thought he was the me me me type...he has to put forth his 2cents on every topic.. disclaimer: I'm more introverted so i guess naturally I dislike attention seekers (other ppl may say that's just being jovial, fair enough, they can have a great time with those ppl, i just don't see the attraction), Hope my disclaimer makes it clear I'm not riding my high horse.
