Has anyone seen that M Rosas has actually been sacked apart from a Big Footy article?
Nothing on the Suns website, AFL.com, major media players, anyone???

personally I’ll wait before taking a BF article as gospel, just saying

Has been discussed in media articles.

“Free to explore a trade” is very different to being sacked.
Indeed he hasn't been sacked, but he is no longer wanted... so will be elsewhere next season.

No way would he be sacked as Suns want some value for him.

Wow screams alarm bells when a club lets a player go under contract that has trade value

They need list spots as they have Lombard and others coming in. Rosas would be a reasonable player filling the small forward void at the Tigers. He suffers from trying to do the spectular too often and not doing the simple things consistently, but he wouldnt be the frist player to do that. If Yze can sort that side of his gamne out, he might make a decent small forward recruit.

As for list spots, at the moment Suns have already 4 spots available on senior list (after Day, Ellis, Oea departed). That's not counting Luko, Rosas, Farrar, Davies all mentioned as potentially leaving. Suns also have other players off contract on senior list - Macpherson, Lemmens, Holman, and Sexton probably too.

At the moment possibly coming in onto senior list Rioli, Noble, Lombard. Uwland (have to) and possibly Clohesy upgraded from rookie list.

A couple more academy kids joining as rookies?

But there are plenty of less useful players they could get rid of before Rosas. Sexton, Ellis, Macpherson, Mahony, Tsitas, Casboult, Faulkhead, Day, Brock and Lemmens are all out of contract and all more expendable IMO.

Either he stole Dimma's parking space or something more worrisome is going on here.

I thought he looked good early in the year but his last four games(spread over half the season) he barely tackled or marked and only kicked a few goals. I don't think he did anything wrong just isn't the right fit for a club that needs to generate a lot more forward pressure.

Carlton should be in up to their eyeballs for a player like Rosas. High risk high reward but god we need some speed up forward. Would totally change the dynamic up forward at the feet of Mckay and Curnow.

what risk? gold coast released him, dont even need huge assets to trade for him. Also no off field issues.

Think Gold Coast are a bit short of list spots now the AFL has ripped off the five extra rookie spots band-aid for 2025. Limits their ability to retain players by moving them to the rookie list. Reckon that's why Rosas and Luko are being given the opportunity to explore options.

Love him at the Crows, but his Mum wants him to go to Essendon. Hopefully he makes his own decision

Incorrect, IMO. Right now Suns have already 4 spots available on senior list after Ellis, Day, Oea left (had 37 players on senior list).

IMO, changes are more driven by Dimma assessing the list.

Potentially to leave (on senior list) - Luko, Davies, Rosas, Farrar, C Graham.

From rookies cat A 8 players most probably only Uwland and Clohesy stay. Only Uwland has to be upgraded.

Suns also have 4 players on senior list who are un-contracted; Holman, Sexton, Lemmens, Macpherson.

In theory, Suns would need only one more spot if they get Rioli, Noble, draft Lombard and upgrade Uwland and Clohesy.

E.g., pretty sure Macpherson will not be re-signed. For sure I expect more changes. To create more list spots is pretty easy.

Most probably VFL only players like Lions is the path for Suns after cat A concession is gone now.
