Yet the libs will gain voters from having Turnbull rather than Abbott, this can not be denied. Would much rather some centers, rather than hardline hick conservatives.

I reckon they will lose some . Malcolm is popular amongst those that would never vote for him and if we are going to have a labor govt we may as well have the real thing.

Those 54 (who must be wondering how they stuffed up so badly) need to have it drummed into them over and over that the ABC and Canberra press Gallery are NOT representative of middle Australia.

So the polls are wrong. But you are right? Right?

I guess a very small percentage of hard right loonies might protest vote Labor in but really the obvious move for anyone with half a brain in politics is to move away from the right to where the majority of votes are. Turnbull isn't going to lose any significant number of the right because they have nowhere to go.

Yep, like I said your lot have nowhere to go. Tons of votes to be had away from the fringes, nobody other than the rusted on fans actually want to vote for Shorten and co.

There will be a heap that hold their nose and do so because "they don't matter"

Bill is to the right of the Member for Goldman Sachs anyway so it probably won't be as hard as they think.

Yep can totally see a large amount of Tone fanboys switching to Labor. :drunk: You lot are on a par with the Hilary Clinton nutters when Obama got the nod for the Democrats.

That is a bit Ignorant , it is about the policy direction , not the personalities , that's what really matter in the end. You really should moderate your name calling . People are allowed to have different opinions.

You're having a tanty because Turnbull will drop the climate change denial stuff. But then you'll vote for the party that will go further away from your position out of spite. How serious should I take your opinion?

I think the idea that Malcolm is popular with people that would never vote for him is a myth. The swinging voter who changes from one election to the next is real, and they exist in large numbers. In larger numbers than previously Liberal voters who will vote for a minor party instead of the Libs under Malcolm.

I think you'd find that most Australians don't follow politics all that closely (especially not to the policy level). I don't see the Liberty Alliance suddenly receiving a surge of votes in 2016.

Haha. Climate change denial. You still can't explain the pause in temperature over the last 18yrs? The IPCC can't explain it either but believe that temps will start rising again next decade.

Good time to ask Ted Cruz's question. Easy to see who the dangerous denier is there.

If the data showed you were wrong would you retract your position?

Of course it is about the policy , People did not go to the polls last time to vote to decide whether to sign us up to an ETS.

I know this should be in cartoons, delete it mods if you wish but I believe it belongs here.
