You fool. Those graphs are contradictory.

You also fail to say what population they represent. Not many countries in the world with zero new cases between Feb 2020 and Aug 21.

I'm interested to hear your take on the facts I posted. Are you saying they are unreliable or incorrect? They have been the official record since the start of the pandemic.

Vaccine rollout end of 2021 along with eased restrictions saw a spike in cases, but after that a sharp drop off in deaths.

Even a fool should be able to figure out that once the restrictions ended and the virus was allowed to have a managed spread in Aus/NZ it was going to lead to deaths. It was always a matter of limiting that damage as much as possible.

You are presenting skewed data in a very misleading fashion.

It is not skewed and it is raw data.

If the vaccines were effective at stopping the spread and limiting deaths there is zero reason for the graph to look like they do. Absolutely zero.

How does the virus get in to the country and spread resulting in deaths when there was a hard international border?

C'mon is it really hard to figure out why there was low transmission and deaths before the start of 2022 compared to now?

The vaccines were never intended to stop spread, just limit the impact. If you believed otherwise, you haven't done proper research.

Have a look again at the USA's data, immediately after the vaccine roll out and despite a massive spike in case numbers, there wasn't a corresponding massive spike in deaths. Since the rollout deaths have been at one of the lowest points since the start of the pandemic.

The raw data doesn't back up your POV if you apply a tiny bit of logic to it.

What do you imagine the death numbers might be like absent of vaccines? Pretty much the same or...?

lol. There's every reason for it to look like it does in countries that did hard extended lockdowns.

You can argue the vaccines aren't as effective as first spruiked very early on in a few select examples you guys love to point at to the exclusion of all else, but thats about it.

Somewhat on topic, but I will say that a major reason Trump got beaten was his seemingly half-arsed response to Covid and Biden's pledge to fix it.

Biden clearly hasn't fixed it, and it is now clear that Covid impossible to control unless you are a remote island, or happy to go in a holding pattern on hard lockdown (China style, and I'm still suss on their numbers)

Trump was favourite to get re-elected until Covid came round.

Fair summation.

Biden is an eejit who couldn't fix a straw if it was bent. He is incoherent and I'm not sure what marvellous tools people were expecting him to wield against a virus. Trump had already delivered a vaccine that was close to approval by the end of his tenure.

I've see monkey shit fights at the zoo that were better organised than the Democrats. Blind freddy can see the only thing they excel at is corruption and nuking good times.

People are inherenty dumb though, and insist on learning the hard way, especially this new breed of woke nutters.

Why does this make you laugh?

This is despite a high vaccination rate and a less deadly strain in Omicron being dominant. Any thoughts why this might be?
