Law of averages says today you're more likely to meet someone who doesn't want another Covid vaccine jab than someone who does.

I didn't WANT the last two boosters as if I was looking forward to them and excited about it, who does? They're a bit of a drag. I was under the age and got them on no spleen and immuno issue.

The virus has passed me by on exposure, so not sorry and think I did the right thing. I'll think about it again next winter.

Well that's obvious. They aren't even tailored for Omicron so tailoring for the individual would really be a bridge too far

Bratty response Stokey You know it's mutating so fast they can't keep up, it's still better than nothing and the data proves it.

We do what we can with what we've got.

Why is it bratty to point out the obvious.

It was less bratty than your dismissive response about my wife having long covid.

But it didn't stop transmission. It only potentially stopped a vaccinated person from getting very sick. So how is it doing it for the team?

It helped 'the team' by easing the burden on our hospitals. More than ten times more hospital beds would have been needed (and ICU beds) if no-one got vaccinated, which would have led to overwhelmed Hospitals, leading to a drop in care for literally every other disease and injury that needed treatments (car accidents, strokes, cancers, heart attacks etc).

The vaccine has saved lives. Not just thousands among the vaccinated from COVID, but also likely thousands more due to enabling our Hospitals to keep functioning and not be overwhelmed.

Get it yet? Anti-vaxxers are the selfish campaigners. They let irrational fear and bullshit Russian propaganda about 5G and Bill Gates trump their concern for others.

Don’t want = they will make a personal assessment and say no. Just as you may or may not next year, which is your right and should always have been the right of everyone.

It wasn't dismissive but it's apparent I can't relieve your bitterness.
Yes your warmth and compassion just oozes out of the screen.

You are the one that is bitter at the unvaxxed and dismissive of things that go against your views.

I pretty content with the current state of things.

Yes it's all the Russian.Qnon Nazis fault. We get it already.

Not just those guys, but a large part of it's those guys.

Pretty much every anti-vaxxer I meet, plus a great many in this thread parrot Russian misinformation (ivermectin, citing from Russian misinformation sites), Anti-semitic conspiracies (Soros, WEF, Davos, Rothschilds etc) or flat out batshit insane conspiracy (5G, Bill Gates, nanoworms) shit.

Literally none of it is based on peer reviewed science, logic, reason or actual real-world data. None of it.

Firstly why are you putting yourself at risk meeting and chatting with anti-vaxxers? I call bullshit.

You are down a rabbit-hole bigger than any of them.

A very small amount of people believe that shit.

It's the usual way of labelling and using this one brush to paint everyone who didn't get the vaccine as crazy.

Most I have come across seem way less crazy and unhinged than yourself who sees Nazis around every corner.

At this point the unvaxxed have zero restrictions on them. They can travel overseas, they can go to the football. They can do everything you can do.

I'd think they'd be pretty content with their current position.
Yep.

Makes last year's hysterical shrieking from round these parts about the end of life as we know it look pretty unhinged.

You mean the flogs walking around the Perth CBD under umbrellas, waving upside down maritime ensigns and wearing Trump masks.

Oh yes, perfectly rational people.
I'm guessing you saw one and are using it to paint everyone as crazy again. There are crazies on both sides of the aisle. No one denies this.

There saw a freedom rally in the Melbourne CBD on the weekend and saw none of these types of people you mentioned. Maybe it's just a Perth thing.

You're not presenting as content. Is your argument against the vaccines entirely or that they're not quite as efficient as we hoped they might be?

Why would I get vaccinated if I was against vaccines entirely?

I have issue with the way they were sold to people, the way they were forced on people, the way they have performed and the way people that pushed them now act.

It's not just a Perth thing, these people are irrational and absolutely convinced of a government depopulation agenda.

Try getting trapped in a car with one of them for 60 hours, the non stop rants while assessing every cloud for nitrate seeding or some chit. Then managing his dangerously bad lunatic calls on the Pilbara. It felt as if I was in a Quentin Tarantino movie.

I should have been back in under five days easy, it took me nine after having to let him go and drop him off, with feet that took a week to heal before I could get boots back on.

Where's your compassion?

So it's a WA thing. My bad.

It always was the right of everyone to refuse to vaccinate. Some have insisted on selfishness, unwilling to accept short term consequences of that choice, making demands that their choice not be vaccinated should be ignored and they can carry on as usual to weaken and whiteant the team.
