Was a rumor he was not unsettled getting around a couple of weeks ago.

However, IIRC the story was more along the lines of him being unhappy with the club/culture and wanting out.

Was coming along very nicely young Marsh shame to see him go.

Best of luck to him, I hope all is well.
I don't feel the same way. I see him as another player that the club couldn't keep, for one reason or another. A disgrace in light of all else that has happened with player movement over the years. Either that or the guy is an absolute wimp.

I am pretty angry about this.

I think as a club we've shown quite a lot of faith in Marsh, picking him up as a late pick and then giving him games quite early on.

The rumours about his rift with Bucks might now have some substance to it, but either way, he's having a rift with a coach who has more faith in him than ****ing Travis Cloke and he wants to move back home?

Absolutely fudged know.
Marsh, Frost ,Brown
And some people on this forum think we dont have key positional issues.
Really upset to be honnest only 20 thought he could have been something.
Anyway what do you think guys we could get for him? Maybe in 30s?

You may want check the actual reason for him leaving (as discussed about a week ago) before you assassinate the club and player.

He was the last pick in the draft. We will get SFA and have one less KPD.

Where he was picked has nothing to do with what he has shown. If he keeps playing we will get a 2nd rounder for him I'd say.

I just hope we don't just accept a Mitch Brown for him. Has to be someone like a McKenzie - even if it requires a later pick to go with him.

And if he has deeper issues?
Is football so he-man that personal issues should not be accepted?
Sometimes the homesickness is very powerful particularly if other things are at play.

We'll get **** all for him.

What's his contract situation like?

If he's got at least 1 year left, then we should just force him to stay imo.

Sorry Marshy, but we need your services in an already low stock area. If you don't want to be professional about it, and want to whine and mope and not play for the club next season, then you can go do that and kiss your career goodbye.

There might be deeper issues here.

I'm sorry, clearly I'm the only one who thinks players doing this now is weak as piss and its become a very unappealing fad. It says alot about todays era of players if they feel the need to walk out of the club for family reasons. I was just thinking today how the Cam McCarthy deal left a bad taste in my mouth.

I think its important to ask the question; "If there wasn't an AFL team in WA, would you be giving up on your AFL career and Collingwood to be closer to your family?" I would be very, very surprised if the answer was yes. And in regards to those saying "He has family reasons give him a break", have you learnt nothing from the Beams deal. It always starts as a family reason then it turns out he has been in talks with a WA club who have offered him coin.

Clearly its news to the club as theres no way we would be shopping Brown and Frost if we knew we wouldn't have Marsh next year

Edit: I should also add that where i work i get a large number of footy players coming through. I have seen Marsh several times and had a chat with him, he always seems happy hanging out with his friends. Seemed to be good mates with Ben Moloney
