Has the interleague squad training yet? Did many turn up?

Had first training run last Sunday , we had about 30 odd there from 67 players selected. Training is over 3 sundays and then they have a final squad training session on the wed before the game with a dinner and jumper presentation

Was a good session and the skills were on, its great to be able to train with quality footballers and a free flowing football from end to end. By the looks of it we should have a pretty quick team on the park.

Hey guys does anybody know where you can view the selected teams in all grades for the weekends games?? can you still get them on the net???? or has the new vcfl site given them the arse??

Not a bad turn out. The ball moved well did it. What.... were there no 'X-Factors' there??? :D

Monkey, you need to go to the league site and go to the fixture/results tab. Once in there you need to hit the detailed results link next to any game. First time you do this the system will ask you to register with an email account. Nothing sinister, just a way of Spoting Pulse getting a membership base created I guess. Once you have registered the next time you try to access detailed results you can enter your email and a password and teh results become accessible. These detailed results list all the players placed on the selected team by the club.

Sauce u need to get ya facts straight before u start spruiking off on here.
The only true fact u do have here is that chooka does have a hamstring injury and has had it for a number of weeks.
As for the rest of it, its all shit.
If u r going to gob off on here atleast get all the facts before saying anything

Was there not much to come out of the weekends games? its pretty quiet this week...

Why such a close result with Rovers and Dunolly??
Maldon seem to continue to defy going close to the Brook on the weekend...

And who will still be undefeated come this Saturday night Avoca or Carisbrook???

Yes thermo man Rovers and Dunolly was a close game. When Rovers kicked the first goal of the final term , there was only 3 points in it Dunolly's way. Both sides had players out so no excuses there. I don't think Rovers will be trounced by anyone this year and they just may be one of those sides that shapes the final five by taking a big scalp during the year. Brendon Hedger was great for them in the ruck and up forward. I don't think Dunolly are playing to their potential ATM but we always felt that this was a big danger game for the Eagles so Dunolly were pleased to get the points. Dunolly never felt that we would have an easy win throughout the week prior to the game and this proved true. To win by 3 goals into the wind in the last quarter was a good fighting effort IMO.

i herd a little story that sherman got grass burns by holding his head and taking a dive against avoca. u would hope thats not true sherm that would be pretty embarrassing. i would expect that from bucket burns!! lol

Might be being a bit harsh on sherm there Every1s, maybe he got his stops caught in the long grass and tripped. If that was the case then maybe the talbot boys had best get the mower out and give it a trim:)

You wouldnt happen to be one of those blokes over the fence slinging rubbish all day at me would you?..Very easy to do from that side of the fence.

Id say if i was wearing an Avoca jumper on saturday it would have been a free kick for sure. Maybe next time we meet you will be good enough to run around in the one's...sherm out.

Probably right sherm had you been wearing an Avoca jumper you probably would have got a free kick ! Thats because you would have been first to the ball and on the bottom of the pack. By your comment do you think the umpiring cahnged the outcome of the game?

Or you would have had your mates umpiring and looking after you all game which seems to happen with Avoca alot

Check out the Interview with Maldon forward Wes Bell on www.********************** MCDFL Previews and Reviews on there also.

Dont know were your comment on mates umpiring come from Frustrated, but heres a thought don't whinge, moan ,sook, abuse or threaten the umps. What i seen last saturday was nothing short of disgraseful, to have a coach of a team verbally abusing an umpire in my opinion sets a fairly poor standard for the rest of the team to follow. From what i've seen, if an umpire is bad and some are, there bad for both teams. But to lay the blame on them i think shows up some of that teams own short comeings. But thats only my opinion.

Once again its time forhave a look over the upcoming matches for this week and see if we can shed any light on who may or may not get up... By the way there should be a couple of cracking games this week, so if you are a local and looking for something to do then sneak down to one of these games.

Creek v Rovers - Will probably be the most one sided of the round I would think. Creek don't seem to have fired a shot this season after being reasonably busy in the off season, and Rover on the other hand are winning the odd game and may suprise a
couple of the "higher" ranked sides this year. Rovers by 80

Carisbrook v Avoca - Both of the undefeated sides facing off in thematch of the round. Avoca have been super impressive with their run and ball carry this year and have Pilgrim finishing off the good work, Brook on the other hand just keep winning with their hard nosed approach of which i', not sure Avoca will like... Having said that Avoca may have the edge in the mids and I think will only just get up. Avoca by 15

Dunolly v Newstead - Another cracker of a game and one that both sides need to give them a bit of space from the other 3-4 sides that seem to be vying for the top five. Word is Motlop will play which will give the eagles a boost (as well as the crowd) but they seem to be a little flat only just getting over Rovers last week. Newstead are also on the back of 3 wins in a row and are starting to gel together as a side with the new boys in L and E Ford, Starrit and Ramsay controling the play. Dunolly don't seem to be kicking big scores and I think (hope) the Stead will have too much firepower. Newstead by 20

Royal Park v Trentham - Royal Park seem to bottle the play up against the better sides and force them wide but they will be all out attack this week against a young Trentham outfit and should get up. RP by 45

Talbot v Harcourt - Talbot have dropped the ball a little in recent times after a pretty promising start to the season. Harcourt also welcomed back one of the old timers to the fold last week in Blake and seem to be looking to those players to "prop" them up and get them back into the swing of things. Talbot are a better side and should get over the Lions. Talbot by 30
